Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Surgical, Medical, and Cardiac ICU Team at Parma Medical Center. This position will work 10 12 hr. Night shifts (night shift premium pay) over a 6 week schedule with rotating weekends and holidays. Nurse practitioners must be Acute Care.
Position Summary/Essential Duties: (Critical-Care)
Partners with Attending to provide 24/7/365 medical and surgical management for critical-care service.
Critical-care duties include managing the comprehensive care of acutely and chronically critically ill or injured adult patients in collaboration with the intensivist physician on duty (or on-call).
Advanced skills of comprehensive airway management including endotracheal intubations using direct laryngoscopy and video assisted laryngoscopy, surgical airway management including open surgical cricothyrotomy.
Partners with Attending and Respiratory Therapist to manage ventilator, non-invasive positive pressure ventilation, and high-flow modalities.
Invasive procedures to include central lines, peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC lines), mid-lines, arterial lines, tube thoracostomy, dialysis catheters, cooling catheters, and various urinary catheters as indicated.
Selection, implementation, management, and titration of vasoactive drugs, insulin infusions, sedation, and analgesia.
Responds to all full trauma activations in ED, intracranial hemorrhages and aortic syndromes that are being transferred to a higher level of care in the ED.
The above listed critical-care duties require that this position must be certified as an acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP)

Qualifications

Demonstrated competence as a practitioner

Education/Expertise:
Nurse Practitioner: Nursing Doctorate or Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis on clinical practice.

Physician Assistant: Completion of a formal Physician Assistant training from an accredited program with NCCPA certification.

CNS with prescriptive authority
Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification (i.e. RN, RRT):
Nurse Practitioner: BLS required; ACLS preferred; Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Ohio.; Current APRN license to practice in Ohio.

Advanced Practice Provider Inpatient Palliative Care - (2400098B) Description Seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join the Palliative Care team at UH Cleveland Medical Center. The APP will work clinically with non-oncology patients, primarily on the inpatient consultation team. The schedule will be part time, two 10 hr. shifts per week. APP experience, palliative care, geriatric, or hospice experience required.
Position Summary:
Performs patient assessment and assigns diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific and current research.
Establishes plan of care and implements interventions in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care and current research.
Collaborates w/other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.
Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures
Develop and implement treatment plans
Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self.
Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management.
Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism.
Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review.

Qualifications Qualifications:
Demonstrated competence as a practitioner Effective oral and written communication skillsA variety of technical patient care devices specific to the clinical area Computers and selected office equipment
Education/Expertise:Nurse Practitioner: Nursing Doctorate or Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis on clinical practice.-or-Physician Assistant: Completion of a formal Physician Assistant training from an accredited program with NCCPA certification.
Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification (i.e. RN, RRT):Nurse Practitioner: BLS required; ACLS preferred; Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Ohio.; Current APRN license to practice in Ohio.-or-Physician Assistant: BLS required; ACLS preferred;; NCCPA-Certified.; DEA license
