Under the leadership of the Director, Respiratory Therapy, the Respiratory Therapist - Registered is an active member of the Respiratory Therapy Department that assists in the delivery of respiratory care and services. Under the leadership of the Director, Respiratory Therapy, the Respiratory Therapist - Registered is an active member of the Respiratory Therapy Department that assists in the delivery of respiratory care and services. The Respiratory Therapist - Registered, provides age appropriate and culturally sensitive respiratory care, as well as cardiac and pulmonary diagnostic testing to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Under the leadership of the Director, Blackshear Villa, the Care Specialist is an active member of the medical office staff that collects data, provides comfort measures and basic care to patients. The Care Specialist works under close supervision and according to specific instructions performing a variety of basic patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. The Care Specialist is responsible for providing care that is appropriate for the patient's developmental age and is culturally sensitive.
