Utilize clinical knowledge and expertise in the review of clinical documentation to assess and determine if services being provided are clinically appropriate and demonstrate best practice and evidence-based interventions
Develop targeted and focused monitoring plans based upon referrals, a review of internal documents and supporting materials, the allegations, and any additional identified concerns

Job Responsibilities:
Assess and treat acute injury and illness for both in-person and telemedicine patients; including but not limited to the management of the febrile infant/child, ear/nose/throat infections, pediatric abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, procedural anxiolysis, respiratory distress, croup, and asthma.
Perform procedural care including but not limited to abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and laceration repair with sutures, staples, and dermal adhesive.
Take radiographs and provide preliminary interpretation of x-rays with official radiology over-reads (only in applicable states). All necessary training will be provided.
Oversee in-person and telemedicine patient flow and daily functions of the office along with oversight of other providers, staff, and trainees on shift.
Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes to the management team.
Work in conjunction with the onsite and telemedicine teams to assure completion of daily tasks including but not limited to lab and radiology result review, patient follow-up, and timely responses to patient calls and questions. We are seeking an experienced (minimum 1 year of Orthopedic experience) Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to manage and practice in our upcoming Urgent Care clinic, located in our new Holly Springs Orthopaedic office. The successful candidate will work closely with collaborating physicians to provide comprehensive care to patients. This role offers diverse responsibilities, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, providing emergency treatment, triaging patient concerns, and managing prescriptions.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed for patient care.
- Triage and address patient-related clinical questions and concerns.
- Prescribe prescriptions as necessary.
- Refer emergent injuries and conditions to the nearby UNC Rex Holly Springs ED as necessary or to our Orthopaedic and spine specialists within the practice.
**Requirements:**
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Prior experience in Orthopaedics.
- Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina, or ability to obtain licensure.
- DEA and Controlled Substance License.
- Exceptional patient interaction skills and clinical experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team.
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge and experience in orthopedics, particularly in Orthopaedic trauma and fracture care/reductions in the ED setting.
