General Duties & Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant: Performs complete evaluations on patients of all ages Orders and interprets appropriate lab, x-ray, and special studies Establishes a working diagnosis based upon acquired data Develops a treatment plan for urological conditions in accordance with current urology practice and in conjunction with the urologist Implements therapeutic intervention Provides appropriate follow-up care Exercises judgment on conditions requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising urologist or other healthcare professionals All other duties as assigned Office Duties & Responsibilities Sees new and follow-up patients and provides problem-oriented intervention for their urological conditions Assists in care, treatment, and follow-up as needed Performs and/or assists in-office procedures, including transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) volume studies, cystoscopies, post-void residual (PVRs) evals, difficult catheterizations, post-op voiding trails, and other necessary procedures Orders and interprets lab, x-ray, special studies, and clinical procedures and provides appropriate care and follow-up Provides phone/video consultation for patient complaints and prescription refills Performs on-call duties for urology Evaluates, screens, and counsels patients on health maintenance and promotes utilization of community resources Job Requirements Education & Experience requirements of the Urology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP): Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent PA program degree Current valid state medical license DEA/DPS license Previous Urology experience is a plus but, not required. The daily clients are very regular giving us one month to a few hours notice. Vacation clients and times of the pet sits vary. DUTIES INCLUDE: Typical duties include, lots of TLC, walking, feeding, changing cat litter, administering pills, taking in mail, newspaper, plant watering, cleaning pet bowls and picking up after pets. Must love getting licks from your four legged bosses Being able to “speak dog” and have “cat conversations” is a plus! =) Walking Large dogs and Small Dogs Communicating with pet parents and sending regular pet visit updates REQUIREMENTS: **Professional yet casual attire, but well kept appearance is a must.
