    The general function of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be to coordinate shipments and be primary receiving clerk, including fork truck and truck driving. Check all in-bound freight for damage, in conjunction with the Quality Control Department, and compare quantities on bills of lading to quantities actually received and to purchase order supplied by business office. Compare packing slips from in-bound freight to purchase orders for accuracy and forward to supervisor. Report any overages or shortages to Floor Supervisor or designee. Mark and coordinate all out-bound freight to insure proper and most economical transportation is used for out-bound shipments. Assure that out-bound bills of lading and daily shipping logs are signed by truck drivers,recorded accurately and forwarded to supervisor. Notify Q.C. when production material arrives at dock. Oversee, in conjunction with Floor Supervisor, out-bound scrap to insure no usablematerials are being disposed. Assist Floor Supervisor or designee on inventory control to insure adequatequantities of expendable supplies and equipment. Pick up and delivery of supplies and products as needed for Plant 1, and keep maintenancerecords for Plant 1's vehicles. Assist in the inventory of materials in storage.
