What You Will Do:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk, reporting to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, is responsible for maintaining records of incoming materials and updating customers' open orders. Their receiving duties include counting and inspecting incoming hardware to ensure it matches shipping documents, checking for any damaged goods, and documenting shortages, exceptions, and damages. For shipping, the clerk weighs and addresses parcels or crates of merchandise, affixes postage or prepares bills of lading, and maintains records of all goods shipped.
Essential Duties and Tasks:
Issue part to routers and deliver customer parts to the floor for production.
Verifies that the customer part matches the routers assigned to that customer's job.
Upon receiving goods, performs visual inspections and counts all items received.
Inspect customer parts to verify the customer parts are not damaged.
Notify the supervisor or planning department when significant discrepancies occur, such as over-shipments or substitutions.
Uses forklift and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks and to move products throughout the facility.
Use overhead and job crane(s) to assist with heavy lifts.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
Uses the Telesis part marker to mark part number, serial number, etc., on the customer's part.
Moves and organizes raw materials around the plant as needed.
Receive and ship all types of products for internal and external purposes
Arranges for the transportation of all shipments not already designated by the customer.
Enters customer-owned parts' quantities and serial numbers into the tracking system.
Communicates with customers who request receipt and ship status.
Any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization's values

Investigating and reconciling variances found with raw materials and present findings to Management / Finance for optimal solutions.
Ensuring the Technical & Operations Manager & Plant Manager are signing off on corrective actions taken to prevent ongoing variances.
Reporting on the monthly inventory variances and actions taken to prevent recurrences with the assistance of the Finance Team and Operations Manager.
