Border Patrol work requires the ability to speak and read Spanish, as well as English. Agents will be provided training to become proficient with the Spanish language at the Academy.

JOB SUMMARY
Quality Assurance Supervisor will ensure that the quality control process established by the company is being followed and maintained at all times during the production process. The Quality Assurance supervisor will directly supervise and assist with coordination of all Quality Assurance technicians as they monitor the operation to ensure that product is manufactured and handled properly. The Quality Assurance supervisor will follow all safety guidelines and food manufacturing regulations to ensure that safe, quality products are being produced at all times.
POSITION DUTIES:
Coach, mentor and guide employees regarding company policies, procedures, and work responsibilities
Check raw ingredients for maturity /stability for processing
Assist with SQF documentation preparation, review and verification
Create and maintain product specification sheets and product labels in compliance with FDA/USDA regulations as well as customer needs
Document and inspect raw materials
Assures food safety standards with regards to GMP's and HAACP plan are followed at all times
Observe and follow up with employees to ensure duties/responsibilities are done accurately
Assist employees when needed with their duties to ensure quality standards are met
Inspect product through sensory evaluation for defects
Determine overall product quality by conducting and evaluating various product tests
Review current ingredient /material suppliers for quality, specifications, suitability and reliability
Record, compile and categorize data and information by preparing spreadsheets, charts, graphs and reports
Review current and existing ingredient/material suppliers for quality, specifications, suitability
Manage finished product specification sheets and review quarterly
Create, verify and manage product and nutritional labels and bag print codes
Handle overnight shipping of samples to customers, QC testing
Use test equipment to determine if product meets customer specifications
Use measuring equipment such as calipers and scales to ensure product meets specification
Consult with QA Director regarding any defects; aids in recommendations for improvement and corrections
Observe product, processes and plant environment for any possible hazards
Examine materials and ingredients from supplier to ensure compliance with specifications
Accurately complete required documents and forms required for recordkeeping
Review HACCP records to ensure that HACCP requirements are met and properly documented
EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma
At least 3 years previous QA supervisor experience required in a food manufacturing setting
Training/certifications related to food safety & quality
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
