The Site Shift Lead serves as a management representative on each shift, providing operations support to all assets (Acetic Acid, Plasticizer-168, Utilities and Logistics) and serving as the on-scene Incident Commander in the event of an emergency. Accountabilities of the job:
Accountability 1: Meet all SHE objectives and comply with all governmental laws and policies for a manufacturing site.
* Compliance with and promotion of different behavioral and process safety initiatives and measures including Life Saving Rules, 20 Safety Principles, INEOS Group Guidance Notes (IGGN's), etc.
* Performs regular audits of site personnel and process safety programs and provides feedback to Supervisors around the site as necessary.
* Responsible for ensuring the site is staffed with adequate Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Medic-qualified personnel for each shift.

* Conducts incident investigations for off-hours incidents where immediate investigation is required and follows up with the appropriate Supervisors as necessary.

Accountability 2: Serve as on-site Incident Command lead for site emergencies and incidents.
* Serves as the on-scene incident commander during plant emergencies. Responsible for controlling the emergency scene, maintaining personnel safety, minimizing property and equipment losses, headcount of personnel, communication to Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
* Works with Fire & Safety Specialist to coordinate emergency response needs including process isolation and area clean up activities.
* First point of contact for off-site incidents, chemical transportation emergencies, and incident involving other area plants. Compiles all pertinent information and makes notifications to INEOS personnel, or law enforcement agencies, other area plants, and neighbors as conditions warrant.
Accountability 3: Leadership and Site Administration
* Serve as communications link between all departments and personnel on-site after hours.
* Maintains staffing schedules for all operations assets to ensure proper staffing on the basis of qualification, overtime rules and ERT/Medic minimum staffing requirements.
* Performs regular rounds of the site each shift to maintain a big picture view of areas as well as how issues occurring externally impact the plant and docks.
* Communicate to plant management on safety, environmental, or process issues that occur off-hours.
