Assists with the installation of a variety of HVAC materials including but not limited to round pipe/spiral duct, flex duct, motorized dampers, air devices, louvers and air moving equipment Assist with fabrication or altering of materials using shears, hammers, punches, snips, drills, brakes, and bending rollers along with other handheld and power tools Install support hangers, make duct connection using clips, drives, nuts, bolts, TDC tape, sealer, sheet metal screws, etc. Assist with drilling and punching holes in metal for screws, bolts, rivets, and install spin-in, peel and stick, or airtight duct tape, connect to branch duct Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned Requirements 1 or more years of experience working with the HVAC/mechanical trade preferred Current/valid apprentice license in applicable state Willingness to learn to read blueprints and shop drawings Knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to read a tape measure OSHA 10 certification preferred (company will provide if needed) High school diploma or GED preferred Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to perform routine measurements and calculations. Your success is our success.Description Job Title: Aircraft Assembly: Sheet Metal, Wing and Installation - Various Shifts What you'll be doing as an Aircraft Assembly: Sheet Metal, Wing and Installation: In this role, you can expect to assemble and install various mechanical, structural, and hydraulic components on aircraft, working with a range of materials including metals and composites. You'll be responsible for assembling major components and making necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met. Join our team and take your career to new heights. Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): Assembly Operations: Perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, riveting, and fitting to complete assemblies and wing buildups, ensuring precise alignment of multiple parts Adhesive Application: Apply sealing, bonding agents, and other liquid adhesives according to specifications to ensure secure and durable assemblies Tool Utilization: Use a variety of power and hand tools, including aircraft mechanic tools, electric and pneumatic drills, and measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and tension meters Precision Work: Conduct precise operations in closed bays, such as drilling, reaming, shooting/bucking fasteners, and installing hi-locks Assembly Handling: Load and unload completed assemblies, while carefully handling the valuable components What you need to be successful: • A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is required • Willingness to learn new skillsets • Basic mechanical skills, familiarity with tools preferred. • Experience with general automotive repairs, service or mechanical projects is helpful • Ability to work in areas exposed to dust, dirt, and loud noises Why join us?
