Nature & Scope The Machinery Technician, is responsible for maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the mechanical systems in the facility throughout the end of construction and commissioning phase of the project for equipment which can include rotating equipment such as reciprocal compressors, cryogenic pumps, expanders, etc., and static equipment, as cascaded by Engineering Manager. The position will work closely with internal and external resources and ensure the scope of work is executed in a safe and reliable manner. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Safety Provide & maintain a safe work environment. Demonstrate leadership with all company & industry safe work processes to prevent all Technical: Execute hands on machinery technician related activities for commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, repair, and test activities. Provide machinery technician support during the commissioning of the plants. Maintain accurate document control and monitor quality assurance initiatives to maintain the history going forward. Provide machinery technician leadership to ensure safety, reliability, and maintainability of the mechanical equipment. Provide mechanical maintenance input for scheduled outages to Management Commissioning Ensure the safety of all commissioning personnel by utilizing the Air Products Basic Safety Practice program, which includes Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc. Understand Environmental Regulatory requirements Support mechanical construction and commissioning activities Ensure Air Products standards, and best practices for EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality, and overall customer services are met Monitor and execute commissioning and startup activities pertaining to the operation of mechanical equipment, rotating and static, to ensure safety and reliability targets are achieved Maintain equipment commissioning document integrity through accurate technical and inspection reports Supervise and assist machinery and mechanical contractors with all site related activities assigned to them, insuring the safety and reliability philosophy is followed Working with the operations and engineering teams understand plant issues during commissioning and startup and execute cost effective solutions for resolution to meet the customer's satisfaction on safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility on product supply Facilitate attainment of operations excellence and customer satisfaction via commissioning productivity, reliability, quality, and cost reduction efforts Provide machinery technician support and participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis. JOB REQUIREMENTS A 2-year diploma in machinery engineering or machinery/ mechanical technician. 8 years minimum hands-on machinery technician experience in gas, petrochemical, or related industries in. Air Separation, HYCO, and CO2 facility maintenance a plus. Demonstrated technical and practical engineering skills with a good business sense in the maintenance field Proven coordination experience in a multi team environment which includes engineering, maintenance, and contractors. Providing maintenance and repair recommendations, creating and scheduling outage scopes accordingly. Soliciting and select vendors for quotes for outage scopes as necessary. Instruct millwrights in performing repairs on steam turbines and generators. Writing reports to document outage finding and activities and provide recommendations for future outages as necessary. Expanding TS knowledge base, including keeping tabs on developments in testing and maintenance practices, as well as supervising mechanical disassembly/reassembly if necessary. Communicating with and educating upper management and plant management as necessary on steam turbine issues and events. Researching and developing improved inspection, testing, and repair Job Requirements Bachelor of Science degree or better in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred, but other degrees and education levels will be considered based on demonstrated experience, knowledge, and ability. Strong functional knowledge of steam turbine inspection, testing, and maintenance practices. 15 years of experience preferred or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of Steam Turbine Maintenance experience. Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed to work independently with minimal supervision, yet able to work as a team. Curiosity and determination to drive innovative solutions and expand the acquired knowledge base. Organizational skills, communication skills and attention to detail. TEAM is looking for Safety Valve Technicians for a turnaround starting February 24th and ending around March 23rd in Toledo, OR. Work schedule is 7/12s. Perform complete over-haul and testing of all manufacturers control valves, actuators and positioners to include: Fisher, Masoneilan, Rotork, Automax, and others. Execute diagnostics and trouble-shooting in shop and field environments. Directly reports to the Operations Manager. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced HVAC DDC BAS Controls Lead Technician will work as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of DDC building automation systems. This position requires the ability to communicate clearly with customers, mechanical contractors, mechanical engineers and fellow employees. Responsibilities * Supervision of technicians on BAS projects to maintain project schedule. * Must have good computer skills and be familiar with IP networks. * Creation of animated frontend graphics and minor software changes. * Checkout, start-up and commissioning on BAS projects. * Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure the complete system functions properly. * Must be familiar with various hand and power tools. * Performs service repairs, adjustments and calibration on building automation systems. * Provide technical support and training to technicians as applicable. Qualifications The Required Profile * 5 years of experience with HVAC Building Automation Systems, LON, BACnet, and Niagara Tridium. * Some flexibility to work overtime/weekends. * Proficient in reading plans, submittal drawings and wiring diagrams. * Both written and verbal communication skills a must. * General understanding of IP networks. * Occasional travel may be required. * 5 Year with Lonworks and BACnet Control Systems * High School Diploma, Military Service and/or Trade School * Valid driver's license with clean driving history. * Niagara Tridium AX and N4, familiar with Siemens Talon, and/or Distech Controls.
