JOB SUMMARY - NOVAIR USA is seeking a Service Technician. The ideal candidate will provide installation and maintenance for industrial equipment in the field. Their duties include installation, troubleshooting and repairs. A successful Service Technician can adapt to a variety of work environments and quickly solve problems. Their main responsibility is to provide excellent customer service while maintaining equipment.
Specific roles and responsibilities include:
Installing or upgrading equipment maintained by the company in various field locations.
Configuring hardware and software components after installation.
Performing routine maintenance on technology equipment.
Testing equipment to troubleshoot the issues.
Documenting installation and repairs.
Maintaining all tools and equipment used during service calls.
Teaching customers how to use equipment properly.
Managing the stock of replacement parts and equipment.
Ability to interact with various groups who are involved in a project including manufacturing, service, and external customer teams. Interface with customer includes phone, email, fax and face-to-face contact.
Travel required up 75%.
Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned by the Service Manager or senior management.
Qualifications
WORK EXPERIENCE - The skills you bring:
2-year technical degree or equivalent experience or certification
3+ years of experience in a customer service role for a company involved in engineered products. Experience using Microsoft software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
CRM experience and Adobe Illustrator are preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong Interpersonal skills.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring schematics.
Knowledge of PLC technology is a plus.

Job Overview:
The Centrifugal Service Technician - Compression Technologies and Services - serves customers by installing, trouble shooting, repairing, and maintaining our centrifugal compressor product lines including Centac, Turbo Air models, and large reciprocating air compressors along with additional compressed air system components. This involves supervision of the installation and startup of new equipment; on-site major repairs; detailed troubleshooting and any other phase of compressor repair. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment. In addition, you need to have knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with all equipment.
Responsibilities:
In addition to performing preventative maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment, our service techs will interact with customers to address existing and unanticipated equipment concerns. Collaborate with Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies necessary to complete installations and repairs.
•Ensure the correct installation, maintenance, and field repair of the equipment manufactured and sold by Ingersoll Rand at the purchaser's location.
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the field installation and repair requirements of this equipment.
•Provide technical advice and be able to train customers, potential customers, field salesmen, and field service trainees.
•Diagnose problems and recommend corrective action in this unsupervised environment and submit clear, accurate records and/or oral reports to the manufacturing facility.
•Maintain a high degree of integrity in handling business affairs.
•Maintain proper written and oral communication skills to transfer information related to service work in a concise and logical manner.
•Submit detailed technical reports on each service call in legible fashion, suitable for billing customers.
•Submit accurate, detailed & timely expense account records along with timecards on a weekly basis. Maintain good financial records and practices to manage company business matters, credit cards, and if required, a company car.
Requirements:
•Desired applicants will have 3 years+ of experience in troubleshooting industrial centrifugal compressors..
•Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
•This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move weight limits in line with the safety policy.
•This position requires working in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock (high voltage) with NFPA or equivalent standards.
•High school diploma or equivalent required.

•Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and other basic computer usage. Working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad) and network bases.

The Sanitization Tech is the first point of contact, receiving infusions pumps into the facility for repair. What You Will Do:
* Partner with restaurant and hospitality managers to offer comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialty food service equipment
* Demonstrate your mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and ability to read diagrams and schematics
* Properly troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Commercial Kitchen Equipment, including cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing and other specialty food service equipment
* Communicate with manufacturers as needed to help with diagnoses and parts identification
* Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for technical support while onsite
* Install all parts ordered for the customer in a timely and professional manner and in line with company policy
* Promote and recommend other services provided by Smart Care to customers when needed
* Produce accurate and timely administrative documents, such as work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory
* Follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures
* Maintain a neat and orderly service vehicle, along with accurate parts and tool inventory
* Maintain productivity levels in accordance with company standards
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds
* Ability to work with moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces, liquids, and risk of electrical shock in damp, humid, or freezing conditions
* Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and other high places
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent
* 1 year of technical experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service
* Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
* Willingness and ability to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends
* Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned

Job Overview:
The Field Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand's Compression Systems and Services Division serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional compressed air system components. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment. In addition, you need to have knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with all equipment.
Responsibilities:
In addition to performing preventative maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment, our service techs will interact with customers to address existing and unanticipated equipment concerns. Collaborate with Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies necessary to complete installations and repairs. All service technicians will assist and train apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
•Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers.
•Provides technical assistance on equipment pre-commissioning and start-ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems. Including “hands-on” work to assure equipment operates to customer's requirement with limited guidance from the Master Technician.
•Increases Ingersoll Rand customers awareness of how Ingersoll Rand products, services, and solutions, such as Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits and Leak Detection can benefit their operations.
Requirements:
•2 years+ experience of troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
•Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
•Every service technician is required to be on-call, but you will not be on-call for the first 90 days to get used to the schedule. This is shared with every service tech, and it requires being available 24/7 for the 1-week duration where you will go to customer sites. On-call weeks can be as often as every 4 weeks or greater than 4 weeks, but that will be determined by the hiring manager.
•This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move weight limits in line with the safety policy.
•High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Core Competencies:
•Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
•Advanced network systems installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
•Basic vibration troubleshooting.
•Basic Air Quality (system compressor/dryer - air treatment).
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and other basic computer usage. Working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad) and network bases.
•Maintain proper business travel practices in a cost-efficient manner.
Preferences:
•Industrial air compressor maintenance & knowledge.
•EPA Certification.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
•Service Technicians will travel daily in a 3-hour radius within our service area.

Pay Range:
Starting Pay will range between $25.00- $35.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position. $3,000 Sign On Bonus!
