Essential Functions
These technicians ensure all machines function properly through troubleshooting and preventive maintenance service.

JOB SUMMARY
Our fast-growing telecommunications company is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Operations Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks in the field.
Responsibilities:
Install, splice, and test fiber optic cables, connectors, and related equipment in the field.
Perform end-to-end testing of fiber optic cables using OTDRs, power meters, and other related equipment.
Respond promptly and efficiently to service requests from customers, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and escalate to appropriate parties when needed.
Perform preventative maintenance on fiber optic infrastructure and identify and report any potential issues to the supervisor.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any other relevant information.
Work closely with engineering and construction teams to plan and execute fiber optic network deployments.
Manage and maintain inventory of fiber optic equipment and tools.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with fiber optic equipment and network infrastructure.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues and provide effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Flexibility to work on-call and outside of regular business hours as needed.
