Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the installation of refrigeration systems following customer specifications, applicable building codes, and proper piping practices.
Provide support on construction job by piping cooler boxes and refrigeration cases, including electrical wiring as required to complete the project.
Provides the required installation of pipe hangers as directed by the foreman.
Provide construction support by welding and slip-hosing copper pipes, and assist the foreman as needed on the job.
Provide support by handing cooler box coils and installing new supermarket refrigeration systems or remodeling existing supermarket refrigeration systems.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent work experience and trade or technical school classes

The service line electrician will help perform and assist in the activities related to the construction, operations, and maintenance of the Fort Carson electric distribution system and transformer-fed streetlights.
Under the Intergovernmental Support Agreement (IGSA), Colorado Springs Utilities is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of Fort Carson's electric, gas, and water infrastructure. According to the IGSA, this position will support operations and maintenance of Fort Carson's existing electric substations, and distribution system up to and including switch gear, transformers, and streetlights fed from transformers following utilities best practices.
This position will be part of an electric team that is responsible for managing the construction and maintenance of new developments, commercial construction, outage response, and providing construction crew oversight in both overhead and underground applications at Fort Carson under the IGSA. You will work onsite at Fort Carson but may be called to support Colorado Springs Utilities' electric transmission and distribution system construction crews in the event a major emergency is transpiring, and more resources are needed.
Within this role, you will be part of a team that is responsible for a wide variety of technical duties and will ensure that all activities adhere to Colorado Springs Utilities Safety Rules and Construction Standards. What You'll Be Working On:
