As a server at Slackwater, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Your role is essential in delivering high-quality service and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.
This is a new Slackwater location set to open on May 5th in the Provo/Riverwoods area. If hired, you will be expected to complete five days of training the week of April 28. Training sessions will be held in the AM and PM.

Key Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and promptly. Provide detailed information about the menu, including specials and dietary options. Address any customer inquiries or concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Accurately take and enter food and drink orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system. Confirm order details with guests to ensure accuracy and satisfaction.
Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure that all orders are presented attractively and meet the restaurant's quality standards.
Monitor and manage assigned tables, ensuring that guests' needs are met throughout their dining experience. Refill drinks, clear empty plates, and respond to any additional requests promptly.
Prepare and present checks to guests, process payments, and handle cash and credit transactions accurately. Provide receipts and change as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area and dining tables. Complete any side work assigned at the beginning, middle, or end of your shift.
Collaborate with other servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations. Communicate effectively to address any issues or special requests.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices. Adhere to the restaurant's policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Description
As a host at Slackwater, you will be the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and enhance the overall dining experience.
As a busser at Slackwater, you will be crucial in maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting dining environment. You will support servers and ensure that tables are promptly cleared, and set for the next guests, contributing to the overall efficiency and customer satisfaction of the restaurant.
This is a new Slackwater location set to open on May 5th in the Provo/Riverwoods area. If hired, you will be expected to complete five days of training the week of April 28. Training sessions will be held in the AM and PM.

Position Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience as a host or similar role preferred.
Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and carry or lift up to 40 pounds.
Key Responsibilities
Warmly welcome guests as they enter the restaurant. Offer a friendly and professional demeanor to create a positive first impression.
Handle reservations and walk-in guests. Maintain an organized system to manage seating arrangements and minimize wait times.
Assign tables based on availability and guest preferences. Ensure that guests are seated in a timely manner and provide them with menus.
Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Assist with special requests, such as seating preferences or accommodations.
Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently. Remove used dishes, utensils, and glassware, and clean tables and chairs to ensure readiness for new guests.
Assist servers with refilling drinks, delivering food to tables, and addressing any immediate customer needs.
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including floors and high-touch surfaces. Assist with general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and removing trash.
Maintain cleanliness of guest restrooms, including floors and high-touch surfaces. Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap.
Restock supplies such as napkins, utensils, and condiments. Ensure that the dining area is well-supplied and organized.
Other duties as assigned.

The purpose of this position is to interact with our guest and Create Amazing Experiences while they are dining at our stores. Hosts are responsible for positive guest interactions while assisting them in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, hosts are expected to be attentive to our guest needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.
Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
When possible, open the front door for guest entering or leaving the restaurant.
When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party and provide guests with estimated waiting time.
Call out name and number of party when tables become available.
Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible
Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name and any current specials or promotions. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
Relay message to servers or managers as needed.
Bus and/or help servers bus dirty tables in restaurant.
If time permits, help servers deliver drinks to table.
Inspect bathrooms for cleanliness. Straighten and clean if necessary.
Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
Such other tasks as required of management or leadership.
No previous restaurant experience required.
Possess organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Able to work well with others.
Be able to work in standing position for long periods of time.
Must have exceptional grooming habits.
