Realize that Service is our #1 product at GOCC and upholding a standard of excellence in this area is your #1 priority.
To be effective, organization is key and includes keeping the stand or reception desk clean and organized at all times. Your first duty when getting to work is making sure that it is organized and ready for operation.
Have a comprehensive knowledge of service routines.
Provide complete service to the Members and Guests according to the Club's Mission Statements and organizational goals.
Greets and seat Members and Guests and maintains order and cleanliness.
Be available throughout the shift to assist Members with any questions, concerns, or requests as needed.

Keep in constant contact with the servers and the kitchen to make sure you are available. A large part of the night's effectiveness is orchestrated from the host stand to the kitchen & servers.
Occasionally check bathrooms for upkeep, contact housekeeping when necessary.
Say goodbye to all of the guests. Ask about their dining experience & relay comments to F&B Director &/or ACMs. Not only is the host or hostess the first impression the guests get when they come to an establishment, but they are also typically the last. You should check with every guest and if there was any kind of problem, resolve it if possible or quickly get a manager.
