Founders' Servers are responsible for providing guests an exceptional Taproom experience through friendly, informative, and professional food and beverage service in a welcoming environment. Servers are responsible for all elements of service within of their section and maintain ownership of the guest experience in that section. In addition to serving guests, Servers are expected to perform supplementary tasks, including opening and closing duties, completing side work, changing kegs, cash and credit card transactions, and working as part of a successful and effective team while following all SOPs and protocols. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform and uphold guest-facing taproom processes, ensuring exceptional customer service and timely delivery of food and beverages. * Be responsible for the entirety of a section and guest experience within that section, including maintaining service standards and guest-facing problem resolution. * Maintain cleanliness within your section, to include bussing, pre-bussing, maintenance of the tabletops as well as floors and seating. * Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Founders' beers and be able to address questions informatively, helping to guide guests through tasting notes, recommendations, and pairings. * Assist Taproom operations by running food, bussing, tables, and helping where needed, regardless of whether the work falls within a given section. * Accurately take beer and food orders with a positive and helpful attitude. * Learn and use the Aloha POS System and accurately enter food orders; maintain awareness of ticket times and check on food as needed. * Be responsible for processing cash and credit transactions; understand and execute Founders' cash handling SOPs. * Demonstrate understanding of Michigan law as it pertains to the sale of alcohol: obtain or provide ServSafe Alcohol Certificate. * Wash and stock glassware, ensuring consistency and cleanliness. * Maintain awareness of and anticipate guest needs; be continuously cognizant of the status of each guest and of any new arrivals. * Learn our weekly specials and how they affect business on any given day. * Develop and maintain knowledge of Founders' culture, products, and the Taproom layout. JOB SUMMARY: The Host/Hostess is responsible for welcoming guests and escorting them to their seats for dining in the hotel's restaurants, continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
