Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Prepare restaurant for lunch / dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins and utensils
* Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
* Must be able to explain the chef's specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questions
* Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
* Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording Resident choices; identifying Resident special dietary needs and special requests
* Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars
* Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
* Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
* Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
* Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip to Resident
* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
* Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
* Be willing to fill in for absent staff as needed
* Assist with special events as needed
* Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
* Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary
Daily Operations and Customer Experience:
* Maintains a high level of Resident contact throughout service hours
* Build strong, effective teams through ongoing supervision, training, coaching, counseling and leadership

Technical competencies:
Education:

DEFINITION: Provides superior customer service to each guest and ensures that their dinning expectations are exceeded. Coordinates and communicates with front and back-of-the-house personnel to ensure that all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis. Observes diners to ensure that guests are satisfied with the food and service, responds to additional requests, and determines when the meal has been completed. Totals bills and accepts payment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess excellent customer service skills including pleasant and friendly demeanor.
High school graduate or equivalent desired.
Must be able to communicate and understand the primary language(s) of the work location, and understand the primary language(s) of the guests who typically visit the work location.
Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Must be able to work flexible hours; Monday through Sunday for no more than a 25 week seasonal period.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
Greets guests in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner. Focuses on providing guests with a positive Fudpucker's experience.
Is knowledgeable about Fudpucker's history, menu offerings, specials, promotions, entertainment schedules, and other matters about which guests may inquire.
Processes guests' orders to ensure all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis. Communicates between the front and back of house to ensure guest satisfaction with the food, beverage, and service.
Observes diners to ensure that guests are satisfied with the food and service, responds to any additional requests, and determines when the meal has been completed. Communicates with management regarding and criticisms about Fudpucker's products and services.
Ensures that all guests are thanked for their business and distributes customer comment cards prior to their departure.
Maintains assigned section in a clean and safe manner throughout each shift and thoroughly cleans it prior to clocking out.
Complies with all Fudpucker's policies and procedures as per the Employee Handbook.
May assist others and perform other appropriate duties and routines as requested by the FOH Manager and/or other management personnel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
Must be able to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours in length.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must have the ability to lift trays frequently weighing up to 30 pounds and carry them up and down stairs. Compensation: $9.98 per hour
