POSITION SUMMARY: The Host serves as the first point of contact for guests at the restaurant and hotel catering functions, ensuring a welcoming and organized dining experience. This role is responsible for greeting and seating guests, directing traffic flow, bussing tables, taking orders, serving food, and processing payments, all while maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards.

Guest Relations (60%):
Always provide a high level of customer service, taking time with our guests to ensure every aspect of their stay is up to expectations

Seat Guests, offer menus and clear additional place settings
Take customer orders, communicate special needs and allergies to staff as needed
Answer all incoming calls and communicate with guests in a manner that aligns with Oxford hospitality standards
Accurately use POS systems as needed
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
Maintain integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with both internal and external guests
Food and Beverage Service (30%):
Serve food as needed
Assist in food prep as needed including coffee or tea
Buss and clean tables after each guest use
Monitor and maintain cleanliness of sanitation, bistro or catering area (i.e., table, utensils, glassware, condiments)
Clean and mop floors, vacuum and dust
Perform all tasks in compliance with federal, state, local, food safety and sanitation requirements and Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards and security procedures. Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations. Report any maintenance repairs needed immediately to their supervisor or General Manager.
Other (10%):
Communicate effectively with all hotel staff to ensure smooth delivery of services.
Complete a daily activity log with pertinent shift information for co-workers and leadership team
Obtain sales leads for the sales department
Coordinate with front desk, maintenance staff, Food and Beverage Manager and General Manager on things requiring attention
