Overview
The Beer Server is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.
This is a Seasonal position for the month of May. LA County Fair is open May 2 - 26, 2025 Thursday - Sunday.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $17.27 plus tips

Responsibilities
Responsible for serving guests beer / wine in a fast-paced environment
Available Thusrday - Sunday
Must demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in customer service, interacting with guests in a friendly and fast manner; ensuring guests complete satisfaction and exceeding their expectations
Beer Server should have extensive knowledge in all aspects of beer in order to sell and serve drinks in a professional manner that achieves Company service and quality standards
Acknowledge all guests, anticipate Guests' needs, and respond promptly to guests - however busy
Entering and completing guests orders on a point-of-sale computer system; accepting various types of payment
Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as discontinuing alcohol service and notifying management of potential problem(s)
Responsibly serves alcoholic beverages in accordance with Company, Federal, State, and local policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
Working in a team environment with the ability to be team player
Responsible for completing an accurate closing inventory of product
Assures and maintains cleanliness of bar and surrounding area throughout the day, assures the area is operable
Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work
Responsible for checking ID'S of guest prior to serving, making sure each guest is of age to purchase alcohol with a valid Id. Refusing to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age and have expired Id.

Qualifications
Two Year's or more experience of full- service restaurant or beer server in a similar level of volume with knowledge of beer.
Must have RBS Alcohol Certificate that is required by State Law

Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174'. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space.
Overview
BASIC FUNCTION: The Banquet Server is responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests during events by setting up, serving, and cleaning up food and beverages. This position works closely with the banquet staff and event coordinators to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction during functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Set up tables, chairs, linens, and other event-related materials as needed.
2. Greet guests, serve food and beverages efficiently, and ensure that all guests are satisfied with their meals.
3. Ensure the banquet areas are clean and orderly, including clearing empty plates, glasses, and trash promptly during and after the event.
4. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with guests, assisting with any special requests, and ensuring a positive experience.
5. Monitor guest needs and respond appropriately to requests or concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
6. After the event, assist with cleaning up the space, breaking down tables and chairs, and ensuring the area is restored to its original condition.
7. Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure that food and beverages are served in a safe and sanitary manner.
8. Collaborate with other banquet staff, kitchen staff, and event coordinators to ensure seamless service during events.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the hotel.
1. Maintain open communication with management and other employees.
2. Be well organized and efficient.
3. General side work, including but not limited to cleaning, polishing, and vacuuming.
4. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year's food and beverage experience, preferably within a catering environment.
Wine, Beer, Specialty Drink, and Food experience required.
California Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance and personal hygiene.
Must be able to speak, read, and understand English to receive training and instructions, interact with guests and other associates.
Must be comfortable with standing and walking for long periods of time on your feet.
Clear and effective communication with guests and team members.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to handle several tasks at once in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must be able to adhere to a flexible working schedule.
Must be 21 years of age.
Compensation Range
The compensation for this position is $16.50/Hr. - $16.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.

What you'll be doing:
Taking reservations for guests
Opening the door for every guest, greeting and seating guests
Maintaining the reservation book throughout the shift
Be the proud host of a memorable experience and guide guests on how to enjoy Punch Bowl Social
Working alongside a team to provide a high level of hospitality
Know the Punch Bowl Social brand so you can answer guest questions regarding food/beverage or other inquiries
Cleaning and sanitizing lobby area and front doors every 30 minutes
Answering phones, and taking any take-out orders receive
Paid Sick Leave is limited to 40 hours (5 days) for the year and maximum is 80 hours (10 days).
