Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Our Uniformed Division's mission is to protect facilities and venues secured for U.S. Secret Service protectees. Throughout its history, the Uniformed Division has accomplished this mission through individuals who embody honor, integrity and a commitment to excellence.
Today, the Uniformed Division has grown both in size and scope of responsibility and is mandated by law to provide physical security for the White House Complex and the vice president's residence at the Naval Observatory. Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.

Summary of Position
The Lead Public Safety Officer is a uniformed officer position responsible for fostering and maintaining a safe learning and working environment for the Augsburg University community. This environment is attained through proactive patrol of the campus buildings and grounds and through positive interactions with the community served. This position assists with the supervision of officer staff, manages student patrols, and assists department leadership with creating, maintaining, and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities
Patrol Duties
Create and maintain a safe learning and working environment for members of the Augsburg community.
Identify after-hours facilities issues and assist in the coordination of emergency maintenance response.
Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance, including activating and coordinating police, fire, and emergency management response as needed.
Provide required services to the Augsburg community, including walking or driving escorts, locking and unlocking of campus buildings according to class schedules and events, and providing information and assistance to the community as needed.
Prepare complete and accurate incident reports for all security- and safety-related activities.
Oversight Duties
Assist in officer training, including creating departmental standards, covering scenarios, and reviewing policies, among other duties.
Assist the department leadership team in supervising officers on shift, including enforcing departmental policies and procedures and maintaining standards for officer staff.
Assist the department leadership team with scheduling officer staff, creating policies and procedures, and maintaining departmental assets.
Assist with on-site management of large events on campus, including creating post orders and assigning posts to officer and student staff.
Assist with supervision of student employees to supplement officer duties.
On-Call Duties
Be on-call every third week for staff in order to make decisions on actions to be taken by other officers, coordinate response with other departments, and respond to campus to handle emergency situations.
Additional Responsibilities
Communicate and enforce campus policies and procedures as needed.
Assist with and coordinate response efforts with the Department of Residence Life and Facilities Management.
Review officer reports to ensure all information is included and accurate.
Manage evidence locker and medical supplies.

Position Objective

Duties and Responsibilities
Apply St. Louis Park Police Department's community-oriented policing philosophy in the course of regular duties.
Responsible for animal complaints including citation, capture, detention and transportation to designated veterinary shelter.
Respond to parking complaints and take enforcement action when appropriate.
Assist:
With care and maintenance of all department equipment.
Other departments including, but not limited to, delivering council packets, cash deposits, fingerprinting, etc.
The investigations division in returning property, recovered or used as evidence, to owner, and with other matters.
Write clear and complete police reports in accordance with department policy.
Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as directed by department personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
18 years of age.
High School graduate or GED.
Valid MN driver's license.
Must have no felony convictions.
Must be enrolled in a peace officer education program, or similar law enforcement program, by time of hire.
Ability to:

The Public Safety Specialist position is responsible for the safety and security of assets, property, personnel, patrons, customers, and all visitors of the Guthrie Theater by monitoring and patrolling the theater premises and responding to incidents in a calm and professional demeanor. This position is part-time and non-exempt. Compensation for this position is $18.75 per hour. This position's hours are reflective of the dynamic schedule of the theater. A minimum of 3 shifts per month are required and you must have weekend availability. Shifts required include one evening and one weekend shift; available shifts include day and evening hours.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Safety and Security
Ensure the appropriate monitoring of activities on Guthrie property (both inside and outside of the building) which includes periodic rounds of the facility.
Resolve situations calmly with tact and common sense - including, but not limited to warning and eviction of violators from premises if warranted. Duties include notifying the appropriate municipal departments (i.e., fire, police, emergency responders) when necessary.
Respond to emergencies and administer First Aid/CPR/AED when appropriate and necessary.
Issue badges to staff and monitor the loaning of badges and keys to vendors.
2. Customer Service
Provide exceptional customer service to Guthrie patrons. Take every possible step to ensure that customers have a positive experience.
Present a polite and professional demeanor when interacting with patrons and colleagues.
Ensure theater and lobby spaces are clean, safe and welcoming.
Follow Guthrie policies and emergency procedures, directing patrons in the event of an emergency.
Communicate with supervisors, informing them of patron comments, problems, or needs.
3. Administration
Can communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, to complete required documentation of Daily Activity Report and written Incident Reports.
Answer phone calls, take messages, and assist vendors, to promote internal department communication, and to ensure effective communication to Guthrie staff.

Summary of Position
The Public Safety Officer is responsible for fostering and maintaining a safe learning and working environment for the Augsburg University Community. This environment is attained through proactive patrol of the campus buildings and ground and through positive interactions with the community we serve.
Officer Schedules:
Day shift: 8:00AM - 4:30PM
Evening shift: 4:00PM- 12:30AM
Night shift: 12:00AM-8:30AM
The specific schedules available will be discussed during the interview process. Days the officer is scheduled are negotiable, and regularly scheduled weekend shifts are required.
Primary Responsibilities
Creating and maintaining a safe learning and working environment for members of the Augsburg University Community.
Provide required services to the Augsburg University Community, including: walking or driving escorts, locking and unlocking of campus buildings according to class schedules and events, and providing information and assistance to the community as needed.
Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance. Initiate and coordinate Police, Fire, and EMS response as needed.
Monitor campus activities and facilities through proactive patrol and observation.
Identify after hours' facilities issues and assist in the coordination of emergency maintenance response.
Prepare required incident reports completely and accurately for all security and safety related activities.
Regularly monitor and use critical infrastructure systems, including: CCTV systems, fire alarm panels, automation systems, alarms, access card systems, and parking enforcement systems.
All other duties as apparent or assigned by supervisor(s).
