Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Our Uniformed Division's mission is to protect facilities and venues secured for U.S. Secret Service protectees. Throughout its history, the Uniformed Division has accomplished this mission through individuals who embody honor, integrity and a commitment to excellence.
Today, the Uniformed Division has grown both in size and scope of responsibility and is mandated by law to provide physical security for the White House Complex and the vice president's residence at the Naval Observatory. It also provides security for the Treasury Department building and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C. The Uniformed Division also has specialized teams including Counter Sniper, Emergency Response, K-9, and more.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.

Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Monitors radio, pager, and phones for calls for service and responds to aircraft, structural, HAZMAT, EMS, law enforcement, and all other requests as directed.
Proactively patrols the airport providing public safety visibility and takes appropriate action when needed.
Conducts training as determined by department leadership on subjects in all disciplines, including law enforcement, firefighting, EMS, and FAA Part 139.
Performs facility, equipment, and vehicle checks and maintenance to assure facilities, equipment, and vehicles are fully functional.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Will patrol and inspect property to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal activity.
* Monitor entrances and exits through use of security camera system of hotel.
* Greet and assist guests, visitors, and vendors as needed.
* Lock and unlock doors including manual overhead doors as required.
* Observe and report violations of hotel policy and law on the property, and deter criminal activity or other problems through visual presence and intervention.
* Complete incident reports with accurate information and in a timely fashion.
* Performs key audits as requested by General Manager, Human Resources and Rooms Manager
* Performs fire safety inspections and coordinates response to emergency situations.
* Enter dead bolted or secured rooms when necessary.
* Performs investigation of claims of loss, incidents, or injury/illness and tracks and reports on their trends for the premise
* Maintain confidentiality as required for performing job responsibilities that require discretion
* All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Ability to give full attention to what others are saying.
* Should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to use logic and reasoning and be able to follow directions and directives from supervisors.
* Ability to accurately recount situations which were witnessed and follow company policy and guidelines.
* Ability to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other dangerous incidents.
* Detail oriented.
* Proficient in Microsoft office and Excel
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
