Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, principles, and practices. Requires knowledge of appropriate grade level curricula, resources, and instructional practices. Licenses and Certificates: A valid California K-12 teaching credential, a valid Administrative Services Credential, and a valid California Drivers License are required. A Masters Degree is desired.

Under the direction of a supervising physician, the Senior Physician Assistant provides high quality, efficient, team based patient focused care. The Senior Physician Assistant responsibilities may include managing patients in the office, hospital, ED and/or perioperative setting. Essential Responsibilities:
* The Physician Assistant will practice as part of a team under the direction of their supervising physician. Primary Duties will be inclusive of the following but not limited to:
* Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
* Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviations from normal.
* Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
* Performs other department specific diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
* Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.

The Public Works Department is offering an outstanding career opportunity to a dedicated professional to develop, implement and coordinate safety training programs. Under general supervision, the Safety and Training Specialists assess, design, and implement safety training programs based on identified needs; review and evaluate work environments; establish, maintain, and present safety and training programs; and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations or work rules.
This position will cover a wide range of Safety and Training assignments, with an emphasis on commercial driver safety and training. The preferred candidates will have a California Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with no restrictions, with tank, and double and triple endorsements, and proven experience operating commercial vehicles that requires Class A CDL. The successful candidate must maintain a valid Class A CDL for the entire duration of employment in this position.
One current vacancy exists in the Public Works Department, Street Maintenance Division. Responsibilities/Essential Functions (other duties as assigned):
Verify all new, returning, and annual patient eligibility to confirm insurance status and benefits including patient responsibility such as deductible, out of pocket, copay and coinsurance prior to services rendered.
Verify if any prior authorizations are required pre-treatment such as HMO or PCP authorizations initiating authorization request and confirming with the office staff once received
Utilize online insurance portals, phone communication and other eligibility tools in order to obtain accurate verifications and submit authorization requests based on verified authorization requirements
Coordinate with Financial Counselor, Patient Navigator and front office staff to ensure smooth collection process.
Maintains appropriate documentation in clinic systems and EMR.
Communicate with patients, front end staff, physicians & payors as needed in order to obtain updated insurance and/or clinical information

Education:
High school diploma or GED minimally required. Two (2) + years directly related and progressively responsible experience and/or college degree.

Wastewater Mechanical Specialist is the journey level class in the Wastewater Mechanical series. The Requirements
Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications on or before the posted filing deadline in order to qualify for the examination and does not assure a place on the eligibility list.
Two (2) years of experience equivalent to that gained as a Wastewater Mechanical Technician in the City service.
OR
Four (4) years performing mechanical maintenance in an industrial processing facility with emphasis on fluid pumping and mechanical drive systems.
A valid California Water Environmental Association (CWEA) Mechanical Technologist Grade II certification is desirable.
Possession and continued maintenance of a valid California Driver's License at time of appointment.
Based upon assignment, possession of a valid Commercial Class B California Driver's License may be required.

Selection Process
The examination process may consist of the following:
Written Examination - 100 % The written examination is designed to assess a candidate's knowledge in the following areas: knowledge of the methods, tools, and equipment used in the mechanical, electrical and welding trades; general construction maintenance and repair work practices and terminology; safety; maintenance and repair of tools and equipment; tool identification and interpersonal & public relations. Candidates must achieve a passing score to qualify for the eligible list.

Job Summary and Scope of Responsibility: Perform research and process transactions related to resolving exception items.
