Key Responsibilities: Lean / Six Sigma Strategy & Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in sorting, dismantling, testing, and refurbishment workflows, reducing cycle time, defects, and waste. Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize electronics recycling, refurbishment, and material recovery processes. Lead value stream mapping, 5S, and root cause analysis (RCA) to improve process flow and maximize yield from recycled electronics. Standardize and enhance processes for data destruction, component recovery, and e-waste handling in compliance with industry regulations. Sustainability & Waste Reduction: Integrate circular economy principles into operational improvements to minimize landfill waste and maximize material reuse. Work with cross-functional teams to improve reverse logistics, inventory management, and remanufacturing efficiency. Implement real-time tracking and data analytics to monitor process performance and sustainability metrics. Change Management & Employee Engagement: Coach and mentor teams on problem-solving methodologies and waste reduction initiatives. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred) or Green Belt with extensive process improvement experience. 5+ years of experience in Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or industrial engineering roles within recycling, manufacturing, or supply chain operations. Knowledge of electronics recycling, refurbishment, or e-waste recovery processes is highly desirable. Requires ~50% travel to FCE locations in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, Atlanta, Ocala, FL, Mexico City and Bogota, Columbia.
