We are partnering with our long-time B2B SaaS client based in Portland, OR to recruit a Senior Product (UX/UI) Designer to join their team on a long-term, fully remote contract basis. This organization is looking for strong knowledge across the product design ecosystem to supplement their team on some major product build outs and updates. In this role, you will work closely with a team of discipline-level product designers and cross-functional teams to seek out necessary information, conduct interviews and bring new energy to ongoing and new projects. You will serve as a true senior member of the team, leading meetings, seeking out information from internal resources and external partners, providing feedback to junior staff and similar. Most of this work is focused on designing and curating B2B solutions in a mobile and web environment, so a deep understanding of the B2B space and strong experience with mobile, tablet and web is required. To be a fit, you should bring 4+ years of product (UX and UI) design experience. Expert-level Figma skills are required, and the ability to align new design systems with existing products for updates and redesigns is a must. Experience navigating larger B2B software organizations is preferred.

This is a 40 hour per week, W2 contract role, set to be fully remote working on a PST schedule. Additional scheduling flexibility will be required, as this role will work with teams across North America, South American and Europe as needed. Pay ranges from $55 to $68 an hour based on relevant industry and level of experience. This is a long-term contract set to go through EOY 2025, with opportunity to extend.
You will:
Serve as a strategic, senior-level supplement the product design staff, stepping in to provide expertise on projects, including overhauling existing mobile, web and tablet experiences, aligning new design systems with existing products, and similar
Execute new design and design updates for a variety of products, working with internal stakeholders, product teams and partners to identify opportunity and curate experiences
Contribute to the overall design framework for the organization, ensuring consistency, alignment with brand and design systems, and aiding in curating a library of design assets
Conduct user research and interviews

Your experience should include:

Matrix Technologies is looking for energetic and customer-focused piping designers who would like to be part of a team environment. This position will be the lead designer for process and utility piping systems for oil and gas, specialty chemical, and food and beverage production facilities. Proficiency in using monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace).
Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Creative and inquisitive mindset, with skills in independent research and in creating POCs.

Possess a developer's testing mindset to better design tools/workflows that integrate testing frameworks.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Target Compensation : A competitive base salary range from $107,385 - $143,181 . This position is eligible for an annual variable cash bonus, between 7.5 - 15%. Final compensation within the range is influenced by many factors including role-specific skills, depth and experience level, industry background, relevant education and certifications, and geographic location.
Candidates who reside in the following major metropolitan areas may be eligible for a premium on top of the posted range based on their specific zone: San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, New York City, Los Angeles and San Diego.
