Job Purpose
Manage all aspects in the development of accessory components from plan definition through first article inspection to achieve defined QCD targets. Coordinate with key suppliers and the CBU development team to achieve the desired innovation and integration level of accessory parts.
Key Accountabilities
Support Planning in establishing an Accessory Line Up to drive unit sales & maximize profit. Provide basic ideas to support strategic plans to identify new accessories and roll out timing across models
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure accessory designs meet predetermined cost targets
Coordinate with the development team to meet accessory integration and implementation targets to achieve integrated appearance and installation ease
Create and manage schedule of individual & supplier work to ensure deadlines are met. Consistently communicate project status and participate or lead project meetings, discussions, and development events.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure accessory parts meet design intent, vehicle fitment, packaging requirements and part quality. Collaborate with technical leadership to ensure accessory test criteria is met.
Ensure installation instructions are completed on time for product release.
Generate high level ideas for shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures. Contribute to building strategies to evolve process and part technologies.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications
Bachelors Engineering Degree in related field or related equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience
5+ years engineering experience preferably in Powersports or Automotive field

Responsible for daily activities on product/process design specifications, development, vendor recommendations, and follow-up of new and redesigned processes.

Ability to operate CAD system.

Job Purpose
Honda Development and Manufacturing of America, LLC (HDMA)'s mission encompasses a commitment to innovation, sustainability, safety, and community engagement. HDMA aims to manufacture products that meet the highest standards of quality while continuously improving manufacturing processes and adopting eco-friendly technologies. The Outsourcing Manufacturing Vendor Support Sr Engineer (CL4-EX3) position for the Equipment Production department contributes to the overall mission of HDMA by providing front line mentorship of Vendor Technicians (mechanical/electrical) with critical Honda knowledge related to assembly of equipment, inspection procedures for equipment (Quality Gate), installation of equipment in Honda facilities, and project install schedule management. Other responsibilities include assessment of skills inventory of vendor technicians to determine the level of Honda support required to successfully integrate equipment into Honda facilities for future projects (KSI). The Outsourcing Manufacturing Vendor Support role further supports the HDMA mission by supplying project updates to management and internal cross functional teams and providing production and/or emergency support related to manufacturing/installation issues encountered during integration of equipment.
Key Accountabilities
• Responsible for project kickoff support and ensures program/project QIP processes, procedures, and standards are followed by outside suppliers.
• Front Line Mentorship of Vendors from a (mechanical, electrical) manufacturing perspective to ensure all equipment quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved. Responsibilities also include supporting vendors through key phases of the project: spec review, quotation, design, manufacturing, shipping evaluation, and supporting equipment installation at the Honda manufacturing facility. This will require being present at vendor facilities and at Honda manufacturing facilities throughout the project as needed.
• Work with internal cross-functional teams and vendors to be able to communicate PEBU (mechanical, electrical) manufacturing standards and processes required to achieve equipment quality including supporting/reviewing manufacturing processes, providing technical support, sharing key references and benchmark practices, and support of long lead/Honda specific components
• Monitor and update project schedules regularly to ensure trial dates and part delivery is achieved by supplier.
• Lead tooling buyoff activity (T1, SEV, full turnkey) and ensure all checks have been completed and tooling has been built properly (heavy focus on craftsmanship).
• Lead recurrence prevention activity when issues are identified between Honda and supplier (making necessary updates to processes and procedures as needed).
• Hold weekly meetings with vendors base and discuss project content and communicate tooling/part concerns (provided through concern history process).
• Travel to inspect tooling build/maturation quality at vendor manufacturing facilities on a regular basis. Mentor less experienced supplier development associates across categories.

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Process Engineer to join our team in Springfield, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing facility processes, including sanitary water treatment, industrial water treatment, and bulk fluid storage and delivery systems, to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development: Design and develop facility processes and systems to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Develop and implement process improvements for sanitary water treatment, industrial water treatment, and bulk fluid storage and delivery systems. Design and optimize wastewater treatment processes, including biological, chemical, and physical treatment methods.
Process Analysis and Optimization: Conduct process simulations and analyze data to identify areas for improvement. Optimize processes to enhance performance, reliability, and sustainability. Perform hydraulic and organic capacity analysis for wastewater treatment systems.
Collaboration and Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes and improvements. Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes. Coordinate with environmental engineers and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with wastewater discharge permits.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Conduct regular audits and inspections of sanitary water treatment, industrial water treatment, and bulk fluid storage and delivery systems. Develop and implement safety protocols for handling and storing bulk fluids.
Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor and maintain facility equipment and systems, including sanitary water treatment, industrial water treatment, and bulk fluid storage and delivery systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to these systems to minimize downtime. Oversee the operation and maintenance of bulk fluid storage tanks, including monitoring fluid levels, pressure, and temperature.
Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Provide technical support and training to facility staff on the operation and maintenance of sanitary water treatment, industrial water treatment, and bulk fluid storage and delivery systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
Proven experience in process engineering, preferably in a facilities context.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards (ISO, ASME, NPDES, SPCC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, etc.).
Experience with sanitary water treatment, industrial water treatment, and bulk fluid storage and delivery systems is highly desirable.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC & Building/Energy Management equipment is highly desirable.

Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Overview and key duties:
Injection Molding Process Management
Provide hands on technical assistance and leadership with the Molding Department to help meet our production goals.
Collect and analyze data to help drive molding process improvements which includes Performance KPI's and scrap reduction.
Document and assist in maintaining mold process sheets/masters.
Review and update Production Maintenance procedures and support the technicians through training.
Continuous Improvement Focusing on Cost Reduction and OEE
Plan, validate, and implement activities and projects to meet cost reduction targets.
Collaborate with Engineering Manager and cross-functional teams to generate ideas and execute changes related to cost reduction while maintaining high quality standards.
Partner with suppliers to research and evaluate possible new, and advanced, manufacturing and production technology, when needed.
Management of Sample Process
Drive sample process through to completion.
Ensure documentation is completed accurately and information is entered into ERP.
Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to schedule sample runs.
Evaluate finished sample data in conjunction with Quality department to determine pass/fail outcome.
Project Management
Coordinate projects with full oversight of all aspects of the project.
Develop and drive project timeline.
Assign project responsibilities.
Monitor and summarize project progress.
Prepare reports for senior management on project status.
Other Duties
Attend customer line trials and assist in problem solving any issues that may arise.
Provide Engineering support for Production and Quality department, as needed.
Food Safety

Responsibilities:
Process Optimization: Analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Support Process Technicians as needed. Must troubleshoot and diagnose processing issues. Developing and implementing process improvements, including changes to equipment, materials, layout, or workflow, to optimize manufacturing operations. Conducting time studies, cycle time analysis, and process simulations to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production processes.
Team Collaboration: Work with internal and external teams to ensure the proper tools, fixtures, and additional equipment is in place to meet the required productivity, quality objectives, and cost objectives. Quality Assurance: Establishing quality control measures and standards to ensure that automotive parts meet specifications and customer requirements. Developing and implementing quality inspection processes, procedures, and tests to detect and prevent defects in manufactured parts. Investigating root causes of quality issues or non-conformances and implementing corrective and preventive actions to address them. Assist in development and implementation APQP documents such as Flow Chart, PFMEA, Standardized Work Instructions, Open Issues List, and other documentation utilizing a team approach. Ensure that all aspects of the Process Engineering Department are in full compliance with the Quality System established and they are being followed.
Equipment Maintenance and Reliability: Collaborating with maintenance teams to ensure that manufacturing equipment and machinery are properly maintained and optimized for performance. Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability. Analyzing equipment performance data, conducting failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and implementing reliability improvement initiatives to enhance equipment uptime and longevity.
