The portfolio of work includes a wide variety of project sizes with a focus on Department of Defense locations worldwide. **What you can expect from APTIM:** + Work that is worthy of your time and talent + Respect and flexibility to live a full life at work and at home + Dogged determination to deliver for our clients and communities + A voice in making our company better + Investment into your personal and professional development **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** + Verbal and written communication with clients, partners and APTIM leadership; + Support development of contract proposals; + Management of design teams in the development of design packages, from conceptual D-B 35% design packages to final D-B-B 100% For Construction design packages coordinating the effort of Architectural, Geotechnical, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Protection disciplines + Ensures client deliverables are identified and met through effective management of each assigned project component and its associated project staff; + Travel to project sites to monitor activities throughout project lifecycle + Identifies and communicates staffing needs to APTIM leadership to resolve needs; + Maintains awareness and ensures successful execution of required client invoicing and associated deadlines; + Coordinates the monthly and weekly monitoring and reporting of project financial status to APTIM leadership; + Creates, coordinates or updates project-specific policies and procedures; + Works alongside project teaming partners to ensure successful project execution; + Maintains awareness and ensures successful execution of contract negotiation and renewal activities; + Provides policy guidance and training to clients, project staff, and APTIM leadership to adhere to program or project requirements; and, + Ensures project safety needs are met. **Basic Qualifications:** + Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited program. An advanced degree such as a Masters in Engineering or MBA is a plus. + Licensed Professional Engineer + Project Management Institute's PMP Certification is a plus. + 10+ years of relevant project management experience with USACE, AFCEC, NAVFAC and/or the joint forces commands. + Ability to quickly acquire a working knowledge of program- or project-specific laws, policies, procedures and correspondence + Demonstrated experience in successful cost, schedule and contract management of engineering design projects + Experience relaying technical subject matter to large, diverse audiences + Previous experience working with teaming subcontractors to produce consolidated designs + Experience with execution of DOD facilities designs in accordance with the Unified Facilities Code + Candidate must be willing to travel to support project needs + Candidate must be a US Citizen to obtain base access necessary to support the projects **Desired/Preferred Qualifications:** + Project management certification(s) + Current or former US security clearance + Experience with design of DOD munitions facilities and processes **Who we are and what we do:** APTIM is a global industry leader headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
