The Turbomachinery and Heat Exchanger Analysis and Design group within the Mechanical Systems and Components (MS&C) directorate is responsible for the design, development and analysis of Environmental Control System (ECS) turbomachinery and heat exchangers, as well as electric traction drive motors. The successful applicant will be responsible for heat transfer analysis. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs. You will use your expert knowledge of engineering discipline and standards, processes and tools to ensure compliance to customer and program requirements. Other responsibilities include communicating with Project engineering teams, conduction of design reviews, presentations to internal and external customers and contributing to department process improvement initiatives. Needs to be proficient with Patran Thermal or ANSYS or Star CCM+
Key Responsibilities
Design and analysis of heat transfer in practice and theory (analytical correlations and complex finite element methods) and related topics in thermodynamics, single and multi-phase flows, and energy systems

The annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $155,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Co-founder/CTO of the Company (located in Los Angeles). You will collaborate with the product and engineering teams to shape DISQO's product vision, strategy, and culture while contributing to every aspect of design, from ideation to execution. What you will do:
Design Strategy & Vision:
Partner with leadership and the product team to define and drive an AI-first design vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with DISQO's mission and business objectives.

Hands-On Product Design:

Regularly present design concepts and solutions to internal teams and external customers to gather feedback and validate assumptions.
Metrics & Design Performance:
Define and track design-specific KPIs to measure the success of features and overall user experience.
Use data and user research to iterate on designs, continuously improving usability, adoption, and engagement.
What you bring to the role:
10+ years of experience in product design, with at least 5 years designing data-driven experiences for Analytics or AdTech/MarTech platforms.
Proven ability to deliver hands-on, high-quality design work at every stage of the product lifecycle.
Experience with designing data visualization, data exploration, and interactive charts.
Proficiency in Figma with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and user-centered design.
Experience in creating responsive designs for both web and mobile applications.
Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, user flows, wireframing, and prototyping.
