LAW ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY RECRUIT: $28.51 hourly We are looking for strong candidates who aspire to become a Law Enforcement Deputy. Competitive candidates are encouraged to apply for a limited number of paid sponsorships to attend the upcoming law enforcement academy in August 2025. Recruits hired for sponsorship to the law enforcement academy will attend this the academy at the Manatee Technical College (MTC). This course is challenging both academically and physically. Upon completion of the six (6) month academy, recruits must pass the state exam to be sworn in as a certified Law Enforcement Deputy. LAW ENFORCEMENT DEPUTY: $76,000.00 Annually Trainee will sign an agreement to remain employed by the Manatee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), in the capacity of Law Enforcement Deputy, for a period of at least twenty-four (24) months after successful completion of the MCSO Field Training and Evaluation Program. Nature of Work Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is seeking to fill a vacancy of Security Specialist. Under the general direction of a Detention Sergeant, performs work of a responsible nature related to the security of the Pinellas County Jail facility and areas incorporated within the Department of Detention and Corrections. This position investigates, classifies, and reviews occurrences, accidents, and incidents for Rail; conducts safety inspections and safety training classes; and maintains property and casualty policies. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Reports to the Safety and Security Manager on all aspects of the Agency's safety as it pertains to field operations, vehicles, facilities, customers and HART personnel. Program: CORT (Community Offender Rehabilitative Treatment) This program in partnership with Sarasota County Corrections, will provide a 40 bed secure residential behavioral health treatment for male offenders who are currently incarcerated in the Sarasota County Corrections Facility. The program will offer intensive supervision and evidenced-based rehabilitation to felony offenders up to 120 days who are incarcerated and awaiting sentencing as well as those who are directly sentenced to the program to serve out the remainder of their sentence. The overall goal is to provide treatment in a secure setting with a focus on substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders, change the client's criminal thinking patterns, stabilize their substance use and/or mental illness, and assist in the transition into the community through vocational training and peer support. The Security Specialist is responsible for performing security and safety functions within a cannabis cultivation facility. As a Security Specialist, you are responsible for providing critical security and administrative support to management. Security Specialists may be cross-trained and asked to support other departments occasionally to meet business needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Check in all employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries. * Ensure all visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers sign in on the sign-in sheet. * Scan IDs and provide temporary badges to visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers. * Maintain all hard copy and digital logs of scanned IDs, sign-in sheets, and all facility logs. * Provide general support to visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers. * Review surveillance video of events and create/maintain event logs from all security systems. * Create new badge access cards for new employees, visitors, and vendors. * Alert management for required support on all security systems-skyline cameras, Strat security/fire alarms, and internet connectivity. * Coordinate delivery schedules and outgoing office shipments with management. * Monitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws. * Adhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). * Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the facility and production areas. * Immediately inform Security Manager of any system discrepancies. * Document all activity using company's track and trace system. * Work within company continuous improvement system and strive to increase productivity. * Check in and check out all van keys for drivers. * Give all cash to Human Resources or appropriate party for accounting. * Schedule weekly armored vehicle pickups for cash deposits from order fulfillment. * Ensure door is locked during any time cash is out. * Coordinate with corporate's finance department to ensure all cash is accounted for. * Accept cash from all delivery drivers on every delivery and store in safe. * Perform other duties as assigned by management.
