We have an outstanding Contract position for a Security Support to join a leading Company located in the Clifton, NJ surrounding area. **US Citizenship is required.** **Candidate must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.** Job Responsibilities: Take care of all the document control. As well as all incoming and outgoing classified information they will put it in the computer and wrap to ship it out. They will call who it belongs to, take care of visitor control, badging and giving access to classified areas. Performs variety of procedural and administrative tasks to create, maintain and ensure protection of company and government property and information. Tasks may support one or more of the following areas: general security administration, clearance processing, access control, asset management, data collection, and record and report maintenance. Maintain security databases, logs, files, records and generate reports. May conduct periodic inventories to verify or track assets (i.e. documents, equipment, accountable material, etc.). Supports technical and non-technical security system architecture (i.e. CCTV, access control, alarms, etc.) to include installation, maintenance and repair, monitoring, and administration. Summary of Essential Job Functions • Spend majority of shift on foot patrol, walking and climbing stairs of the interior and perimeter of the hotel to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions. Requires verbal communication using pager and two way radio, bending, stooping and kneeling. • Maintain order in the hotel, dealing with the welfare of guests, and assisting with door lock problems. Coordinate expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, fire or safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner. Handle undesired conduct and potential violations of hotel policy as warranted for the security and safety of hotel guests, associates, patrons and property. Requires grasping, lifting and/or carrying or otherwise moving persons, packages, luggage, wheelchairs and safety equipment using manual dexterity of hands. • Watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting, or loitering around building. Conduct walk through observations of entire hotel. Promote safe work practices. • Answer security telephone and safety hotline calls and respond in a timely manner based on priority. • Observe the security monitors for any unusual activity and in the case of suspicious behavior report directly, via radio, to the supervisor on duty; report any alarms similarly. • Memorize and monitor life safety system installed at property including layout of entire building, alarm pull stations, location of fire extinguisher and sprinklers. • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent. Helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives. Job Requirements: * Must be an active, former, or retired Law Enforcement Officer or have a Corrections/Military background. * Must have a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays * Ability to stand for long periods of time and climb or descend stairs, occasional running or sprinting. * Ability to work in outside elements, including hot, cold, and wet weather. * Ability to maintain a calm demeanor when responding to emergency or stressful situations. * Responsible for crowd management issues during events * Have a HS diploma or GED. * Have a verifiable work history. * Have a reliable means of transportation. * Able to successfully complete a background and drug screen. * Able to meet state licensing requirements. * Must possess or acquire a valid NJ State Security SORA license. * Unarmed position.
