Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.

Requirements

Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.

Overview of Position:

Responsible for the security and safety of the facility and clients in and around Hospitality House. Screens, monitors and oversees security and safety of all clients and staff in the building.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for security and safety at Hospitality House.
Reports all incidents using the incident reporting systems making sure the appropriate people are notified.
Handles all emergencies; performs crisis intervention as needed, calls 911 and other emergency numbers for back up as needed; tries to work out stressful situations as appropriate.
Responsible for client, fire, and health safety.
Answer front desk telephone and take messages as needed.
Directs visitors and handles all inquiries.
Receives incoming mail and packages and gives to Office Assistant.
Drive van as needed and on occasion will deliver packages.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED and previous experience working as a security officer is preferred. NY State Security certification required. Must obtain F-80 Fire Safety Coordinator Certification within 4 months of hire. Valid drivers license preferred. Excellent verbal communication skills required. Some knowledge of homeless and substance abuse population. In addition, the Security Officer, shall perform any duties as required to meet the new needs
