Job Description Job Summary The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of hospital grounds as well as of employees, patients and visitors. Must be aware of all hospital codes and be able to respond appropriately. Security Officers conduct investigations, coordinate efforts with hospital staff, and act as a line of defense from outside criminal threats. The Security Officer works alongside clinical staff in the care of patients, specifically patients that present a safety / security risk to staff and visitors.
