Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Our Uniformed Division's mission is to protect facilities and venues secured for U.S. Secret Service protectees. Throughout its history, the Uniformed Division has accomplished this mission through individuals who embody honor, integrity and a commitment to excellence.
Today, the Uniformed Division has grown both in size and scope of responsibility and is mandated by law to provide physical security for the White House Complex and the vice president's residence at the Naval Observatory. It also provides security for the Treasury Department building and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C. The Uniformed Division also has specialized teams including Counter Sniper, Emergency Response, K-9, and more.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.
Certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so, if you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Patrol campus by foot, vehicle, and bicycle.
* Respond to calls for assistance (criminal and general assistance)
* Respond to calls for fire, burglary alarms.

KRE SECURITY IS GROWING!!!Locally owned regional security company seeking multiple candidates to fill Armed Act 235 Certified Per Diem Security Officer positions in the Harrisburg area. Must provide Act 235 Certification and have proven leadership in the Security sector.

Security duties can include but not limited to:
Escort pick up of valuables at a customer's location.
Maintain radio communication with the vehicle crew and dispatch personnel to ensure a secure transaction.
Maintain the highest degree of security and control of the customer shipment at all times.
Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while performing daily customer interactions.
Remain alert and prepared at all times, not only protecting the crew or premises against attack, but also watching for the accidental mishandling of packages that might result in a loss.
Observe all security and safety procedures.
Able to work weekends, holidays and/or extended hours.
Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will be required to possess a high school diploma or GED. A college degree in a related field or One year of law enforcement experience as a sworn Police Officer or Military Police Officer, or three years of experience in armed security or protective force services, or a combination of experience and relevant education is preferred. ACT 235 Certification Required for Armed Details.

The Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for keeping the Nook Sports complex safe and secured during daily operating hours and events as well as greeting our guests in and around the Sports Complex.
