Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed. The Security Professional will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior) in a hospital environment. Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document detailed observations of unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)
Transport patients to the morgue, as needed
Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room
Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters
Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits; ensure only authorized individuals enter and exit the hospital, and that no contraband or hospital items are brought in or out
Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
High school diploma or equivalent
Current driver's license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable employment history relating customer service or the protective service industry (preferably security, healthcare, military, law enforcement, or corrections)

Under the direction of the School Leader, assists in the implementation of School Safety and Security Programs.

Supplemental Information
Salary: The advertised salary is based on full-time employment and includes shortage and school year differentials, if applicable.
Requirements: Applicants must meet all the requirements for the position they are seeking as of the date of the application, unless otherwise specified. Under the direction of the School Leader, assists in the implementation of School Safety and Security Programs.
Oversees the day-to-day security operations of the school; supervising the security attendant staff; ensuring the monitoring and directing of traffic flow to reduce congestion and assure safety, etc.
Ensures the implementation of school security strategies on a daily basis.
Plans and schedules daily work assignments of the school security personnel of assigned school.
Supervises security activities at the scene of major incidents.
Provides work direction and guidance to school security personnel; e.g. how to handle volatile situations; providing guidance on better handling certain situations, etc.
Interprets and communicates security directives, policies, plans, and objectives to subordinates and ensures compliance.
Provides safety and security related orientation and training to school security personnel.
Establishes performance standards for subordinates, prepares performance evaluations, and recommends, as needed, appropriate personnel actions.
Patrols school interior and grounds during regular hours or special assignments.
Investigates and reports suspicious persons or unusual incidents.

Serves as a member of the school emergency response team.

Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Registration Requirement: Applicants must be registered as a Guard with the State of Hawaii Board of Private Detectives and Guards, in accordance with Act 208, Session Laws of Hawaii 2010.

Substitutions Allowed:

Supplemental Information
Salary: The advertised salary is based on full-time employment and includes shortage and school year differentials, if applicable.

GENERAL PURPOSE:
This position provides a visible presence at the Store entrances/exits, mitigating theft and fraud and maintaining a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers. Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do and assists Store Leadership in maintaining a safe and secure environment for both Associates and Customers.
Provides visible "command" presence, including prominent greetings with eye contact, at Store entrances/exits and on sales floor in a Company issued vest/required black attire, monitoring for potential safety issues.
Removes clutter and ensures safe, clear egress to emergency exits.
