Summary: Reporting to the Manager of Organizational Security, this position is responsible for managing projects related to new physical security technologies, software, applications and the revitalization of current systems within Energy Transfer field locations and its 24/7/365 proprietary Security Operations Center (SOC). Responsibilities include the design of systems, cost analyses, ordering supplies, vendor management, installation coordination of components, and system operability and vulnerability testing. Ensure systems are fully functional to Security Coordinators to monitor, verify, and process all incoming security related signals, alarms, and telephone calls received at the Security Operations Center (SOC). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Design, implement, and coordinate plans for effective use of security system technology and appliances for Energy Transfer field locations and its Security Operations Center (SOC). * Collaborate with business users, internal technology teams and vendors to establish and prioritize business and security technology requirements. * Coordinate technical implementation and migration of software upgrades, patches, and database changes for the various Security technologies. * Ensures compliance to procedures and processes for all security system use cases while providing relevant direction and courses of action for trouble-shooting related appliance failures. Initiates repair procedures and generates work orders as needed. * Plan and schedule project timelines; coordinate project security, define scope, goals and deadlines, project plans and associated documents. * Serve as the technical subject matter expert for all aspects of security technologies. * Follow a strict methodology and process for change control, application support, and escalation when appropriate. * Provide training, guidance, and resource support for end users. * Identifies and implements technical processes for improving security services. * Communicate and analyze customer inquiries and determine a correct course of action and that customer expectations are met. * Assist in the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) response for the Security Operations Center. * Follow all departmental and company policies and procedures. * Conduct day-to-day interactions with customers and coworkers in a manner that provides superior results. Rotational basis, No Night Shift, 3 day 12 hour shift schedule. The Security Specialist, Assistance is an integral member of the regional Security Assistance team. Under the direction and guidance of the Security Director, Assistance, and the Security Managers, Assistance, the Security Specialist, Assistance will be tasked with the delivery of high-quality security risk assessments, advice and the coordination of security assistance on a profile and itinerary-specific basis to travellers, international assignees, domestic nationals, and client's risk managers. The Security Specialist, Assistance will contribute to operational readiness by carrying out tasking to maintain and develop the security provider network and internal Concepts of Operations. The Security Specialist, Assistance is responsible for providing the delivery of professional and effective security assistance services for clients of International SOS to the highest standards of excellence. The Security Specialist, Assistance will also be tasked with intelligence collection, processing, and analysis to provide timely security assessments and advice to International SOS' clients and internal stakeholders, through primarily, but not exclusively, written reports, as required due to roster and surge requirements. The Security Specialist, Assistance will also support on an ad hoc basis with the delivery of security assistance consulting deliverables, client engagements, crisis response duties, and contribute to projects relating to functional enhancements. The position operates for three 12-hour shifts per week managed across 7 days a week on a rotational basis. On a rostered basis, the Security Specialist, Assistance may be assigned to provide support to clients on a global basis by giving preliminary security risk assessments and advice, escalating requests for assistance as appropriate. Shift adjustments may be applied to accommodate crisis response situations globally. ________________________________________________________________________________ Core Client Support: Deliver high-quality, bespoke, verbal and written security risk assessments tailored to an organisation or individual's s profile and itinerary, escalating to senior management as required. Under the guidance of Security Assistance management, coordinate and oversee responses to security requests for assistance, including the production of Plans of Action (POA) for specific Requests for Information (RFAs) as required. Set up, coordinate and monitor tracking tasks using GPS and communication with clients travelling complex working environments. Ensure client awareness of the current security environment in countries in the region(s). On occasion and as required travel to countries of responsibility to assess the current security situation, local provider capabilities and expand the existing network of security contacts to further support clients and aid operational planning. Security Assistance Case Management: Receive and assess all security related calls and ascertain the assistance requirements of Intl.SOS clients. Collect logistical, security and other pertinent information to the medical event/incident. Give security advice to callers, employers, employees and organise and supervise appropriate security assistance accordingly. Be responsible for security case direction and ongoing security related tasks with respect to security assistance cases, ensuring that there is an appropriate security handover of cases at the beginning/ end of each shift. Professionally communicate verbally and/or in writing to relevant parties/clients at various international locations the progress of security assistance cases. Consulting Delivery & Sales, Marketing Support As required, deliver safety and security trainings and workshops as well as engage in client specific security assistance consultancy tasks as required. Support the Sales and Marketing teams in the articulation of International SOS' services and in providing functional expertise in client facing forums such as webinars. ____________________________________________________________________________ Required Skills and Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of political and security landscape within the region Proficient written and verbal communication skills Proficient at prioritising and co-ordinating Proficient in customer service Regional language skills (desired) Ability to critically analyse multiple streams of information under time pressure Demonstrated experience in the application of risk assessments Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other applications Required Competencies: Working with People. Required Work Experience: Typically at least 5 years of security experience in corporate, military, police, intelligence, NGO or private sector Experience in customer service or a client facing role Experience of writing for a business audience is desired Experience of managing crisis and complex security escalations Previous experience of working in a culturally diverse, cross-border matrix environment Crisis Management, Travel Risk Management, Intelligence, Security planning International travel experience Travel experience to multiple countries including more challenging risk environments. Preferred experience: Risk and Crisis management. Experience in writing to senior management and decision makers. International work experience, including in more challenging risk environments. Experience of working in a customer/client focused role. Required Qualifications: Educated to a degree level (or relevant professional training) in a field related to security, risk management, international politics or international relations. Bachelor's degree level; Master's degree level is preferred. Degree in politics, international relations or related subject is desired Required Languages - Excellent spoken and written English language. Spanish, French, and/or Portuguese language fluency is desired, but not required. Travel / Rotation Requirements - Some travel, sometimes on urgent request. Day shift work including occasional overtime based on operational requirements.
