Invoice Reconciler - Regional Planning Group
This position will report to the Regional Planning Team Leader for MPC Generation. The successful candidate will handle all aspects of service invoice reconciliation and the Maximo Labor Rate timesheet process. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Handling service invoice reconciliation for all MPC generating facilities.
· Interpret terms and conditions of multiple Power Generation service contracts.
· Verifying service invoices are applied to the appropriate purchase orders, are using the approved/contracted rates, and have proper supporting documentation prior to invoice approval.
· Addressing invoice reconciliation issues as needed, including creating PO revisions and processing invoice holds.
· Auditing contractor labor and material requisition timesheets in the Labor Rate Module of Maximo for all MPC generating facilities in accordance with the Southern Company Maintenance and Modification Agreement (SCMMA).
· Providing backup coverage to Contract Support Specialists as needed.
· Responsible for training labor rate contractors with onboarding and the Maximo timesheet process, including required invoice supporting documentation.
· Meet with vendors and contractors to build and maintain positive work relationships to foster consistency in contractor billing practices.
· Ability to strategically think, problem solve, and analyze to Identify and deliver gaps within the invoices approval process and implement solutions.
· Build and maintaining positive working relationships with internal Contract Administrators (project leads, system owners, etc.) to influence changes and efficiencies reflecting the invoice process.
· Submit monthly unrecorded liabilities to the financial department; reconcile previous unrecorded liabilities for all MPC generating plants.
· Participate in internal and external audits.
· Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience Requirements:
Experience in invoice processing (labor and/or third party) or Business-related degree strongly preferred.
Knowledge of union agreements strongly preferred, SCMMA is a plus.
Maximo Labor Rate knowledge preferred - preferably MPC/APC/GPC systems. Knowledge of POs, PO Revisions, etc. a plus.
Experience with Accounting software - Oracle is a plus.

Develop purchase requisitions and process check requests for all items purchased by the Physical Plant to repair or replace equipment, materials, and supplies for use in building and grounds maintenance as well as for in-house construction activities.
Assist in preparing budget amendments for departmental expenditures and allocations.

Oversee transportation needs and request.
Obtain, gather, and organize pertinent data as needed and put in into a usable form for special reports
Provides clerical support for Physical Plant including place, answer, screen and directs telephone calls and takes messages when required
