WHAT YOU'LL DO * Work safely and follow all WCAT safety policies and procedures. * Follow contamination control and OSHA rules and regulations. * Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting under direct supervision. * Learn to use specialized tools and equipment effectively and safely. * Participate in formal training sessions and apply the knowledge gained to real-world tasks. * Assist in completing related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely. * Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with supervision. * Assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of machines/equipment. WHAT YOU'LL NEED * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three years related experience preferred. * Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. * General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments. * Willingness to accept instruction and guidance from a Training Instructor and Senior Service Technician. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Detail-oriented and organized. * Successfully complete program curriculum * Successfully complete Work steps assessment. * Ability to certify for operating a forklift and/or manlift. * May require additional certifications for field. * Must possess a valid driver's license.
