POSITION OVERVIEW: The Boston Red Sox are seeking an Area Scout to cover Panama. In this role, the Area Scout will cover and report on players in Panama and make recommendations on signing players. The Area Scout will also help with additional assignments/coverages as assigned by Immediate Supervisors. The Area Scout - Mexico must reside in Mexico for consideration. Living in the Panama City/Aguadulce area is preferred but not required. RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary Scout for assigned area, including reporting responsibilities and establishing a thorough network (players, trainers/coaches, player representatives).Maintain a detailed preference list for players you report on.Take video of players and upload them to Red Sox System.Evaluate player makeup and build relationships with players and their families.Provide regular updates to superiors on players in your territory and cover assigned events.Assist in Physical Assessments of players and data collection as needed.Develop a working knowledge of select technologies as well as how to apply your results to the evaluation process.Submit expenses in a timely manner per the policies set-forth by the Boston Red Sox.Be cognizant of International Scouting policies as dictated by MLB and follow rules set forth by MLB and the Boston Red Sox.Help coordinate Red Sox tryouts as needed.Update player biographical information and evaluations promptly through the scouting process.Participate in any professional development exercises as assigned by supervisors. You will also be responsible for identifying challenges and opportunities with venues and providing production teams with insights they need to plan events that are within budget and operationally sound. You will: Liaise with all Originals / Ops / Production teams and Project Managers, bridging communication between internal and external stakeholders to provide a holistic view of venue options. Be responsible for due diligence of base buildings Source venues that coincide with the Producer's concepts & designs, conduct site visits & collate necessary documentation to assess feasibility, ensuring chosen venues are suitable from experiential and financial perspectives Make sure the design intent is correct and judge how design decisions will affect the budget and schedule. Contact venues and negotiate fees, lease agreements, and terms with venue owners to use the location. Obtain all fire, police, and other governmental permits, and coordinate the logistics for the production Oversee venue-related issues across multiple large projects at once, while also overseeing standards for smaller events. Be judged on how you save CAPEX and OPEX by flagging issues early on Develop playbooks to be passed onto the production team and which can inform contracts Develop real estate trackers and deal trackers Working with production companies or suppliers, oversee return of a venue to its original condition at the end of a project. Represent Fever at site visits, meetings, and local events Preferred Qualifications You have a track record in property or real estate negotiations, facilities management, or live event production management, with an eye for details, and strong oral and written communication skills. Survey Scout Apprenticeship Position Summary: Under the supervision of an assigned Regional Field Manager, the Survey Scout is responsible for discovering property corner monuments and performing preliminary reconnaissance in preparation for the arrival of a survey crew. The survey scout will use a magnetic locator (metal detector) and a shovel to discover and expose property corner monuments. Safe operation of a company vehicle is a must as the Survey Scout will frequently travel between job sites on a daily basis.     Title Manager, Athlete Scouting & Development Classification Salary Non-Exempt Reports to Director, Development Program Summary/Objective This role is designed to develop and maintain USA Football's Athlete Scouting and Development Program. USA Football's activities in these areas support the Development Program, the National Team Program, and USA Football's athlete database which will provide resources to members. This will include creation and maintenance of formal athlete scouting processes and procedures for both in-person and video/digital based scouting initiatives. This role will ensure that the scouting database is searchable and connected to the broader athlete account and membership profiles. This role will work with internal and external partners to enhance the process - including use of machine learning, artificial intelligence, video setup, 3 rd party integrations, film partners, software such as PowerBI/Salesforce and more. Lastly, this role will work with IT, Events, High Performance and Sales Recruiting to ensure appropriate data is discovered and distributed as needed internally. Oversight of the Athlete Scouting Processes and Procedures at USA Football, including development/maintenance of in-person and digital scouting forms, intake and overall process plus working with IT and partners on database management Oversight of scouting contractors - including training, working with events on logistics for scouts, expansion of scouts in markets by tier, collection and quality of data, on-site expectations and digital scouting expectations Oversight of regional scouting leads who provide direct input into Regional and Select Team athlete invites Works with team, including the Development Program Director, to create tiers of athlete invites for Recruiting and Sales to target and craft development resources Collaborate with Consulting Sales and Development Program Director to create invite timeline and processes Creation of capture plans for run of show templates at various events - including capture live and post event Act as a scout themselves, reviewing athlete film post event and creating scouting reports Check work of scouts and audit reports, ensuring accuracy Work with video capture partners to identify technology and hardware needs Responsible overseeing scouts on-site and/or creation of a quality assurance process to ensure scouts are capturing insights quickly and efficiently Travel to events to develop and support personnel related to the scouting process Provide training documents and resources for Development Program coaches and scouts to ensure prime positioning relevant to content / scouting film capture Create Scouting curriculum and resources to help develop various tiers of scouts nationwide - including clear standards of expectations and relevant criteria related to USA Football's Football Development Model and National Team needs Create athlete ranking process relevant to various factors (position, region, etc) Collaborate with Service, Events, Sports Growth and Recruiting teams to make sure our athletes, coaches and officials have a valuable experience through the Development Program Along with Development Program Director, create player feedback content for distribution to athletes who progress throughout the program Build relationships with other departments to build timelines and develop new ideas for projects Responsible for goals and expansion of athlete insights and information related to performance - particularly number of scouting reports and quality of said reports Along with Sales Recruitment & High Performance, grow a database of prospective athletes for inviting to Development Program and Qualifying Events Work with High Performance on the management of virtual film submission through forms or 3 rd parties As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, USA Football provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles. Survey Scout Apprenticeship Position Schedule Monday through Friday with some weekends required during seasonal months. Employees start their workday when departing from home in a company vehicle. Area Serviced Team members can work remotely in Columbus, Ohio and surrounding areas. Requirements Survey Scout Apprenticeship Position Responsibilities: * Must be a motivated self-starter who is capable of working with limited supervision. * Must be responsible and detailed oriented. * Able to work individually or in a team environment if required. * Assist in the care of survey equipment and company vehicles. * Able to remove debris, trash, brush, and other items that may interfere with the scouting process. * Work scheduled overtime and/or weekends required to complete job assignment deadlines. * Consistently work scheduled shifts according to company policy and attend scheduled daily check-in meetings. * Fully adheres to Exacta's policies, procedures, and work directives. * Perform all duties as assigned to meet business needs in a safe, ethical, and professional manner. * Provide courteous customer service as necessary. Survey Scout Position Summary: Under the supervision of an assigned Regional Field Manager, the Survey Scout is responsible for discovering property corner monuments and performing preliminary reconnaissance in preparation for the arrival of a survey crew. The survey scout will use a magnetic locator (metal detector) and a shovel to discover and expose property corner monuments. Safe operation of a company vehicle is a must as the Survey Scout will frequently travel between job sites on a daily basis. Survey Scouts will be trained to understand legal survey documents including legal descriptions, property deeds, sub-plats, and tax maps. It is intended that the Survey Scout will progress through a well-ordered Survey Scout Training Program that will develop the Scout into a Survey Field Crew Chief. As such, the Scout must show initiative and motivation while progressing through the program. This work is performed outdoors year-round in various weather conditions. The work requires the ability to move in various standing and sitting positions, and the ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally (with assistance). This position offers opportunities for advancement for individuals that demonstrate a strong work ethic and continually contribute to the success of the organization.
