Responsibilities:
● Lead LC/MS and GC/MS operations, support ICP-MS, and wet chemistry testing
● Plan and execute intake, prep, testing, and reporting for hundreds of food samples daily
● Recruit and manage lab technicians, including training, mentorship, and evaluations
● Develop and implement laboratory systems that maximize throughput and automation
● Monitor and evaluate instrument performance, minimizing production retests
● Perform basic maintenance, calibration, and verification testing on lab equipment
● Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, especially ISO, but also FDA and USDA
● Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication
● Maintain a safe and efficient working environment
Qualifications:
● Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, etc)
