* Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of outside plant equipment, including cabling, utility poles, conduits, and related infrastructure.
* Manage the maintenance and repair of outside plumbing systems, including water lines, sewage systems, and drainage systems.
* Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, and trenchers for various maintenance and construction projects.
* Oversee grounds maintenance, including landscaping, lawn care, tree trimming, snow removal, and irrigation system maintenance.
* Oversee roof maintenance, including inspections, minor repairs, and coordinating major repairs or replacements as necessary.
* Ensure that all outside plant systems operate within regulatory and safety guidelines.
* Monitor and manage facility-related projects, including upgrades and expansions of the outside plant network.
* Locating and creating records for all outside underground utilities.
* Compliance and Safety:
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and standards.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
* Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the team.
* Budget and Inventory Management:
* Assist in developing and managing the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
* Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.
* Reporting and Documentation:
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance documents.
* Prepare and submit reports on facility operations, including maintenance logs, safety inspections, and incident reports.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside plant, grounds, plumbing, and roof maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
* Strong knowledge of outside plant systems, including cabling, utility poles, conduits, and related infrastructure.
* Knowledge of outside plumbing systems, roof maintenance, and heavy equipment operation.
* Experience operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, and trenchers.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
* Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
* Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various outdoor conditions.
