    The Scientific Writer & Content Manager will develop and drive Baylor Genetics' scientific data communications and publication strategy with responsibility for managing medically relevant scientific publications (i.e., clinical, scientific, and health economics manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations) and initiation of data curation and analyses to drive publications and KOL strategies. Primary Responsibilities Drive development of scientific publications execution (abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscripts) and work with both internal and external collaborators to ensure high quality and timely output of publications. Gather data from available literature and internal datasets to steer publication strategy and messaging in manuscripts. Interpret study results and collaborate with healthcare providers, KOLs, PIs in the development of scientific communications content, such as conference proceedings (e.g., abstracts/posters and presentations) and/or journal manuscripts. Proactively prioritize, identify, assess, and critically summarize relevant scientific and medical literature across relevant areas. Review draft publications for scientific quality, data accuracy and ensure alignment with author direction. Synthesize, assess, and communicate potential impact of key findings to internal stakeholders. Track key conferences submission deadlines and provide reminders with suggestions for submissions to the conferences. Maintain a scientific content and data repository to support publication, product, KOL engagement, and marketing strategies. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, Genetics or similar field with 8+ years working in clinical, research, or diagnostic laboratory field OR Graduate degree (MS, PhD) in Life Sciences, Genetics or similar field with 5+ years working in clinical, research, or diagnostic laboratory field. MS in Genetic Counseling or an equivalent degree preferred Prior experience in rare disease genetics industry preferred. Proven track record of publication and data management strategy skills. Remote position, with potential for up to 10% travel for conference attendance and meetings with scientific collaborators. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Proven successful project and data management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to read, interpret, and convey complex scientific information. Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a strong teamwork ethic. Creative approach to problem solving and able to work successfully in a constantly changing environment.
