This is a day shift working 6:30am to 3pm with on call rotation every 11th week. Position will support Sanford Bemidji and surrounding locations. Will be the focal point to all plumbing related issues, work orders and projects to include construction remodels and new builds . Will also lead through water program for healthcare and any water quality / water management efforts in addition to standard plumbing work orders and work requests.
Job Summary
To provide a level of maintenance necessary to ensure all grounds, facility, equipment and systems within the Maintenance Department function safe and properly so as to provide the service or function for which they are designed. Provides technical support for evaluating specifications on mechanical system for new construction on facility as well as remodeling. This position has been designated as the master plumber in charge of all plumbing aspects for Sanford Bemidji.
Performs or directs all preventative maintenance and repairs on all plumbing, drainage systems, plumbing fixtures, sanitary sewers, and plumbing accessories in compliance with all state and local plumbing codes and Minnesota State Board of Health.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of three years experience in mechanical construction required; experience with medical gases and installation, as well as refrigeration experience preferred. A graduate of plumbing related trade school program is preferred. Must have thorough knowledge of maintenance plumbing, plumbing systems, and pipefitting. Comfortable interpreting blueprints and schematics.
Minnesota Master Plumber license required. Must have or achieve a Minnesota class "C" boilers license within 1 year of hire.

Job Summary
Plans, develops, and provides diet interventions, medical nutrition therapy, nutrition care and preventive counseling to individuals and groups in all areas of primary and specialty patient/resident care, acute care, skilled nursing, out-patient, and/or community settings. Provides medical nutrition therapy services and monitors nutritional care of clients/patients/residents of all ages including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric as assigned. This includes determination of nutritional status through nutritional assessment, individualized care plans, provider order recommendations and implementation of nutrition therapy (including verbal orders, diet modification, nutrition support, oral nutrition supplements), education and counseling for disease and nutrition risk management, and evaluation of outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions. Additionally includes optimization of self-management education and skills in the care of clients/patients/residents with chronic conditions. Ability to recognize, evaluates, and provide for nutritional needs based on cultural, ethnic, and religious beliefs. Evaluates treatments or procedures for effectiveness using an evidence-based approach. Works on nutrition care protocols for the assigned area and acts as leader for the health care team in the implementation of the nutrition therapies. Educates on diet according to disease state, medical condition and health risk.
Incorporates new trends and techniques as necessary to design care plan and update standards of care educational material. Assists in tailoring clinical education and associated materials for use with clients/patients/residents, families and caregivers. Performs quality control and maintains a high standard in relation to infection control mechanisms for safety. Aware and conscious of individual's insurance coverage and reimbursement circumstances, and participates in clinical performance improvement activities, including research that tests new treatments or procedures for clinical evidence of outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in dietetics or food and nutrition through an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited program. *(After January 1, 2024, the ACEND requires anyone taking the registration exam to become a dietitian have a master's degree. Prior to January 1, 2024, individuals qualifying to take the registration exam need to have the minimum of a bachelor's of science degree in dietetics.)
Clinical nutrition experience through an approved coordinated undergraduate program or successful completion of post graduate internship required.
Currently holds Registered Dietitian (RD) license within the applicable state(s).
Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with resident and family, other inter-disciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting. Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure. Qualifications
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Job Summary
The scope of work for a respiratory therapist includes assessment, therapeutic intervention and education for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders and/or sleep disorders or associated complications. Primary Responsibilities
Pulmonary Function Lab (PFL) Respiratory Therapist primarily performs diagnostic tests. These tests can include spirometry, diffusion testing, lung volumes, airway resistance, respiratory muscle forces, bronchial provocation testing, asthma exercise testing, exhaled nitric oxide testing, cardiopulmonary stress testing, home oxygen evaluations, six minute walk tests, arterial blood gases and other tests that a doctor orders.
In addition to testing patients, the PFL Respiratory Therapist may be asked to administer respiratory therapies and educate patients on the use of their medications and equipment. They must also be able to calibrate, clean and maintain diagnostic equipment and recognize when equipment malfunctions.
This position would also work in Pulmonary Rehab assisting with admitting patients into Pulmonary Rehab as well as exercise and education classes.
Secondary Responsibilities
PFL Respiratory Therapists spend most of their time performing noncritical testing. However, they must be prepared to respond during an emergency, such as by performing CPR. They may be asked to lead in-service trainings, be a student preceptor, help during new-employee orientation, prepare the next day's schedule and insure orders are in the patient's EMR. PFL staff may also help on the inpatient floors if there is unexpected downtime.
Qualifications
A degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited respiratory care program is required; minimum associate degree or equivalent as defined by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Respiratory Therapists must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards involved in respiratory care, as well as knowledge of equipment utilized in their department. Demonstrates the ability and knowledge required to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for quality care. Must complete orientations, competency validations, and other in-servicing as required by the department and hospital.
Must have current Respiratory Therapy licensure in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position.
Must have Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials as attained through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and maintain active status according to NBRC credentialing requirements.

Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) functions within the administration pre-defined scope of practice guidelines per state location of practice. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. CMA: The CMA in the ambulatory care setting collects subjective and objective health status data from the patient or caregiver and communicates this data to the health care provider. Participates in the care of patients by providing contributing data to licensed health care professionals; and following through on the patient's plan of care under the direction of the provider. Communicates the provider's written instructions for care to the patient, or caregiver, by transmission of specifically defined information. Will participate in care for patients, across the lifespan, in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, treatment, and follow-up as patients move in and out of care settings. Performs a variety of duties under the direct supervision of a person licensed to practice medicine. A sampling of the specialized clinical duties performed includes, but is not limited to, obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, observing and reporting patient's signs or symptoms, and performing point of care testing.
LPN: Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients. Documents a thorough medical history from patient. Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered. Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed. Counseling patients and family members, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans. The LPN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting.
Qualifications
Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA).
Certification (CMA) obtained through a nationally approved certification program for medical assistant, including but not limited to: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National HealthCareer Association (NHA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), etc.
Registration (RMA) obtained through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) also acceptable. Additional state requirements include: North Dakota (ND) registration as an MAIII through the ND Board of Nursing. MAs working within Minnesota (MN), Iowa (IA), South Dakota (SD) and Oregon (OR) do not require state registration.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment. Re-certification as required.

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility. Additional training requirements for all RNs, which must be obtained within one year from date of hire, including ACLS and one of the following: CALS, CATN, ATCN or TNCC. MDH Trauma Education Training provided on-the-job until TNCC certification obtained.
Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state, or states, of practice. Nurses performing nursing practice over the telephone require licensure in the states where the patients being served reside. Certification may be required depending on specialty or service area. Must maintain current BLS certification.
