    USPI Hill Country Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a motivated PreOp/PACU/Circulator to join our team. We have 1 OR room and 3 Procedure rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day. Pre-operative Duties • Assess the status of patients' health in pre-op and ensure accuracy of identification wristband • Ensure that operative and informed consents are in order • Determine the surgeon and procedure being carried out • Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedure • Initiate IVs and ensure that patients are informed about the procedure and attending medical staff Post-operative Duties • Assess patients' condition after a surgery has been performed • Ensure that all vitals are within normal range • Log all findings in patients' files • Answer patients' questions and ensure that they are kept comfortable • Monitor patients for condition changes and report any changes to the doctor • Initiate patient education programs to ensure that both patients and families are educated on procedures and medications • Perform intervention duties in cases of post-operative emergencies OR Circulating Duties • Assisting with equipment • Serving as a patient advocate and ensuring patient safety at all times • Assisting with positioning the patient • Monitoring the patient's condition throughout the entire surgical process and acting quickly to respond to any changes • Maintaining the sterile field at all times • Exhibiting skillful clinical judgment and assessment skills #USP-RN #USP-123 #LI-CM1 Required Skills: Qualifications: • Current Texas Nursing License • Current CPR, ACLS, and BLS • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing • Minimum 2-year experience in a hospital setting or ASC setting • Any perioperative setting is appreciated, but not all areas required as we cross train USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
