Role accountabilities: As a Water Engineer Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of resilience and risk mitigation assessments, as well as planning and conceptual design for utilities, municipalities, and private clients. Your responsibilities will include evaluating, planning, and designing coastal resilience projects and plans. This will involve working on projects aimed at mitigating the impact of coastal hazards and ensuring the long-term sustainability of coastal areas. In addition, you will engage in research and task execution to support high-profile risk and resilience programs/projects across the region. Your contributions will help shape and implement strategies to enhance the resilience communities and infrastructure. You will support economic analyses and benefit-cost analyses related to water engineering projects. This will involve assessing the financial viability and potential benefits of various initiatives, contributing to informed decision making. You will also: Write grants & conduct management research. Support project management efforts (i.e. project scopes, budgets, and client deliverables). Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials, and participate in client meetings. Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including clients, coworkers, subcontractors, municipal staff, and the general public. Work independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally. Work on multiple concurrent projects with multiple deadlines, ensuring completion per project budgets and timelines.
