In addition to rigorous academics, Saint Francis University has numerous
institutes and centers devoted to intellectual advancement, as well as a
strong community service program and additional student life
opportunities. Graduate programs are available in such specializations as Medicine,
Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. At the undergraduate level, academics are offered through distinctive
schools. The school of Arts and Letters grants degrees in everything from
Literature to Religion to Social Work. Science programs include majors in
Marine Science, Environmental Studies, Zoology, Engineering and
Pharmaceutical Sciences. There is also a school of Health Sciences and a
Business School. Centers of Study located on campus, such as the Center for the Study of
Government and Law and the Science Outreach Center, sponsor academic
clubs, competitions and other student activities and also engage with the
community by providing, among other things, classes in the local schools. The Institute for Contemporary Franciscan Life is the adult-learning
division of Saint Francis, which gives adult students the chance to earn
a degree through various distance-learning programs. Since Saint Francis is a Franciscan Catholic school, there is a strong
emphasis on service to the community and the school actually enforces a
service-learning requirement. Some of the ways in which students engage
in service are by helping the handicapped, the elderly, at-risk children
and the homeless. Other student life activities include entertainment such as film
screenings, comedy shows and stage performances. There are also plenty of

documents required by admissions. Financial aid is available through various sources to qualifying
