The Site Safety Technician Position The Site Safety Technician ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures from the project owner, general contractor, and/or Goyette Mechanical. The Site Safety Technician leads project safety pre-planning, subcontractor pre-qualification, and pre-construction meetings as needed. The Site Safety Technician maintains accurate safety records, conducts incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions, and ensures timely reporting and tracking of worksite injuries. Additionally, the Site Safety Technician performs color coding inspections, fall protection checks, equipment evaluations, and job hazard assessments. Conduct regular emergency drills to ensure readiness for medical emergencies, fires, electrical incidents, and hazardous materials releases. Conduct frequent inspections of work sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 standards. Essential Functions: * Provide environmental, health and safety direction and assistance to assure the safety and health of Hendrickson associates through Vision Zero * Lead the efforts to pursue/maintain partnership with OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) or Hendrickson's Global Safety Excellence Certification (GSX) Program. * Create and implement safety and environmental countermeasures to identified situations. * Lead the efforts to pursue/maintain certification to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems * Administer division and site EHS Procedures * Facilitate incident investigation process * Manage Industrial Hygiene issues * Conduct and document EHS training * Manage safety audits and follow-up * Assess the impact or current and new process on employees assuring employee involvement in safety improvement activities * Assist in Workers Compensation case management as required * Lead division and site security program * Participate on the Safety Excellence Team * Maintain key performance indicators as set by the Health and Safety Excellence Team. Education and Training * Bachelor's Degree required in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Industrial Engineering or similar required. * 5-7 years' experience with an emphasis on health and safety implementation in a manufacturing environment. Some environmental compliance experience is desired. General Summary: The Site Safety Tech is responsible for overseeing the safety of all assigned job sites within their division.
