Great pay
The CEO and executive staff constantly changing their mind. The "build the airplane as we fly it" analogy that the CEO makes is worn out. My supervisor always commented on my "whiteness". I went to HR but that seemed to make it worse. My supervisor when she wasn't being racist, was gone doing her personal errands.
The pay
I didn't like the CEO. She was always changing her mind and would bounce from one program to another with giving a program a chance to get off the ground. Very clique and created a "mean girl" vibe.
Get rid of the CEO and leadership team. It's evident by the staff turn over
Working with homeless and domestic violence survivors.
Unfortunately SN has become more of a corporation like atmosphere. The Trauma Informed Care motto no longer exists. It's just about filling beds. There has been an exodus of employees since new management but some that are no longer there are simply irreplaceable. The shelter is nothing like it was. The hotline is now called the "call center" where you get a bed if you check all the boxes. So much pressure on employees to fill a quota. The women who come into shelter are sadly the ones who no longer receive essential services. A DV agency should not use power and control over employees. The irony. Employees must feel that there's job security. The agency no longer has any management that provides leadership or DV sensitivity. Their needs to be a HR Department with knowledge.
