Risk Assessment and Safety Planning:
Refer members to the most appropriate crisis resources in the case of imminent risk. Note: Brightline does not provide immediate, 24/7 crisis services.
Support members on safety/risk-related concerns as they arise either in live or asynchronous communication by conducting a comprehensive risk assessment and creating a safety plan with the family.
Provide safety support for all members in Brightline's care (i.e. receiving services from a coach, therapist, or prescriber).
Complete mandated reports and other documentation to ensure appropriate legal processes and protocols are followed.
Re-evaluate members' fit for Brightline services (Coaching or Therapy) after a safety event.

Our program is offered in partnership with the Ohio Commission on Service and Volunteerism (ServeOhio). AmeriCorps enables individuals to serve their community while earning a living allowance and an education award.
The goal of our program is to ensure that all Ohioans receive the information needed to prepare, access, and complete a postsecondary credential. AmeriCorps members provide workshops and advising on college and career exploration to 6th through 12th graders; provide support to 11th and 12
th
graders on postsecondary access and scholarship applications; and facilitate successful postsecondary transitions, persistence, and college affordability coaching with high school graduates.
AmeriCorps Ohio College & Career Guides is a corps of driven young professionals, whom students can relate to as they plan for their future.
Guides will serve in a full-time capacity (1,700 hours over 11 months) from August 4, 2025 to June 30, 2026. Half-term positions requiring 900 hours over 6 months may be available. We have programs in 6 locations: Cleveland, Columbus, Oberlin, Lorain County, Stark County, and Toledo.
General Responsibilities:
Deliver classroom-based workshops to students in grades 6-10, with a particular focus on a Columbus City Schools 8

graders (90% of time), and to deliver workshops and/or engage in one-to-one college and career conversations with students in grades 11 and 12.
Assist students in making a post high school education plan
Provide college and career information to students and families
Help facilitate information sessions and programs for students and parents
Assist students with their college/career-bound process
Plan and chaperone college and career visits
Assist school staff and I Know I Can staff with college and career fairs, community events, and tabling

Qualifications
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

Be available to work at least one Saturday and/or Sunday shift per week, as these are our busiest days.

Additional Job Requirements: The Remote Camp Guide is responsible for leading and managing outdoor activities in remote camp settings. This role requires a blend of guiding expertise and skills, to ensure the safety, enjoyment, and satisfaction of all camp participants.

Must live and work at a remote retreat location (with employer provided room and board) for a period of approximately five (5) months.
Work week schedule is set at seven (7) days per week.
Most duties are performed outside with exposure to weather.
Must be capable of performing a variety of physical functions involving safely move, transport, position, maneuver loads up to 70 lbs., efficiently and safely entering and exiting aircraft, boats and other motorized equipment, operation of, 4-wheeler and Bobcat, climbing ladders to heights of 20 feet, rowing an 18 foot river boat for sustained periods, standing and operating an outboard motor in rough water conditions and be able to demonstrate both fly fishing and conventional fishing techniques.

High degree of dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and to connect, separate, and twist multiple smaller items daily.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Guest Guide collaborates closely with the guest services representatives to lead customers to their site after registration. They assist by selling and delivering ice and firewood, enforcing campground rules, picking up trash and emptying trash receptacles, responding to messaging services, doing basic housekeeping duties, and performing light maintenance and repairs. They provide accurate and concise information about park rules, recreation activities, and directions to destinations. This guest facing position requires exceptional customer service, a can-do attitude, and the ability to support multiple departments as part of a team.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Assist guests by guiding them to their sites, and with other customer service needs.
Sell and deliver ice and firewood.
Keep grounds free from trash, litter, and debris, and empty trash receptacles.
Ensure the cleanliness of grounds, landscaped areas, parking lots, restrooms, pool, and office areas.
Clean campsites by performing minor maintenance tasks such as raking the campsite pad, washing tables, and cleaning out fire rings.
Collaborate with housekeeping staff by assisting in tidying restrooms and common areas and communicating daily housekeeping needs.
Interact with guests and make recommendations for things to do in local area.
Follow all safety guidelines for the operation of equipment and use of chemicals.
Make minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.

Report all disturbances to management or in emergencies, to the local authorities without attempting to discipline or apprehend any campground violators.

The Parks Division is responsible for the functions necessary to achieve the state park's program goal of managing Montana's scenic, natural, historic, archaeologic, scientific, and recreational resources to meet present and future needs. This work unit is responsible for the support of State Park operations.
Essential Functions:
This seasonal variable position will run from 5 months and are responsible for leading groups of up to 30 visitors on the two-mile, two-hour cave tour and one mile, 1 ½ hour cave tour. While conducting tours the guide conveys to visitors the natural, historic, and cultural features of the cave and park. Guides are also responsible for the safety and comfort of visitors. Guides provide information and direction to visitors on a regular basis and perform routine maintenance tasks when necessary.
Interpretive and Guest Services
A. Conducts up to three guided tours of the cave daily with up to 30 visitors per tour. Interprets geological and historical aspects of the cave in an entertaining and informative manner. Monitors tour groups to ensure visitor safety and that cave resources are protected. Uses effective communications skills and practices quality customer service principles regularly.
B. Conduct tour in a specific time frame covering historical and geological information on the cave. Follow Park procedures in handling any incidents in the cave in a professional manner. Ensure that visitors are aware of the nature of the cave tour and are aware of proper dress and cave safety. Notify supervisors of any known problems or incidents in the park. Must conduct the tour in a manner to meet the expectations of a wide variety of visitors on a cave tour.
C. Staffs the visitor center information desk; answers personal inquiries from the public and explains and interprets rules and regulations for the public regarding the park and Department programs. Disseminates information on fishing access sites, wildlife management areas, historical sites, and other state parks or tourist attractions in the area. When working in this position the incumbent must gain a working knowledge of Parks, Department policies, and a good understanding of the area's tourist attractions.
D. Must organize tasks efficiently, establish positive working relationships with co-workers and management, work well with the public, and be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to effectively deal with angry or verbally abusive individuals who are dissatisfied with FWP policies and actions. Instructing and leading groups of up to 9 guests through our 3-hour Zip line tours. They also must be prepared to accept responsibility in real risk scenarios while calmly managing participants at heights.
