This position will provide direct support to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Code 34 Radar, Imaging, and Electronic Warfare Teams. Tasking will include analysis, design and capability enhancements, testing support, and in-service support for new and fielded Navigation Radar AN/BPS-15/16/17 Systems, Imaging Periscopes and Photonics Masts, EW AN/BLQ-10 and Early Warning Receiver. You will provide Engineering expertise as part of an integrated technical team made up of Rite-Solutions and NUWC engineers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Research of modern RADAR system, software, hardware, and information assurance requirements
* Technical risk assessment of radar designs and architectures
* Analysis of modern radar interfaces, message protocols, and high-speed switch networks
* Performance analysis of antenna equipment and digital signal processing algorithms
* Evaluate current and future radars using performance specification and testing in various environments
* Assess installation and system requirements to determine equipment layout
* Develop, review, and execute test plans and test procedures
* Develop and review Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and performance specifications

Requirements/Skills:

* Position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance with the US Government, active clearance is preferable.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Develop, track, and manage Engineering Change Documents (ECDs), including Engineering Change Instructions (ECIs), Temporary Engineering Change Instructions (TECIs), Change Proposals (CPs), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to support system modifications and upgrades.
* Lead ILS Certification development within the Navy Data Environment (NDE) and manage risk assessment processes for submarine installations.
* Create Risk Assessment (RA) messages and generate Monthly RA reports to evaluate and mitigate potential risks.

Position Requirements:

* Become familiar with the system/site by reviewing the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) System Security Plan for existing systems; identify any issues with the Security Plan and Procedures; execute the Validation Plan and Procedures; review POA&Ms; develop Risk Assessments
* Keep abreast of and provide the team updated information on Navy RMF policies and procedures. Review DoD, DON, NAVSEA CS-related documentation (i.e., RMF Process Guide, DoN Standard Operating Procedures, NAVSEA Business Rules).
* Be comfortable conducting independent security control assessments in accordance with NIST SP 800-53, 800-53A, CNSSI 1253, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) described in NIST SP 800-37
* Clearly articulate requirements and other information in written documentation such as Security Plan, Contingency Plan, Contingency Plan Test, Business Impact Analysis, etc.
* Provide guidance and training in eMASS to team members

Skills of Interest:
