Manage the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department at Phoebe Putney Health System (including planning, organizing, staffing, and monitoring of work quality). Provide leadership and direction in the development and implementation of organization-wide instrument sterilization policies, procedures, and processes. Effectively utilize available and developing technology to improve operations and reduce costs. This position reports to the Director, Surgical Services. The manager is responsible for assuring that instrumentation, supplies, and other resources are available in a timely manner to support surgical services and other areas dependent upon them. (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3+ years Management or supervisory experience within sterile processing required, preferable in a hospital setting (Required)

Testifies in Court: may be called to testify as the owner of a voice on and E-911 recording and/or to be a witness that a call was received.
Dispatches the appropriate agency personnel to scene through use of radio and CAD System: coordinates multi-unit and multi-jurisdictional response calls; maintains awareness of available response units; dispatches calls to available units; maintains contact with response units to provide information and instructions regarding emergencies; and assists in the coordination of correct response.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; supplemented by one year of work experience that shows the ability to maintain steady employment in any field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Additionally, applicants must pass the CritiCall 911 exam and must be age 18 at time of hire.
Licenses and Certifications

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Extension, Dauphin County, is seeking a Nutrition Education Adviser (NEA). This position will recruit and teach limited resource program participants in their assigned service area research-based knowledge and skills, in groups and individually, to use their limited resources to obtain a diet and lifestyle for themselves and their families following the USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans by using approved state curricula.
Responsibilities include:
Teach research-based education on the skills of healthful food selection, meal planning, food preparation, shopping, storage, food safety, and physical activity to program-appropriate audiences.
Recruit participants in base county and surrounding counties as assigned, which include limited resource youth, pregnant women, families with young children, and/or other members of the SNAP benefits-eligible population.
Collect evaluation data from participants to demonstrate the program's impact to federal funding agencies. Responsible to the supervising educator for training, planning, program delivery, communication, evaluation, and reporting of program activities.
This is a limited term position funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of refunding. This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.
Education and Experience:
Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional education beyond minimum requirements is not considered an advantage. We are seeking bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates where applicable.
This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to the clearances.
