A retail district manager is responsible for overseeing sales operations in their assigned area, managing several business locations at the same time. They are the one to hire and train staff and to set sales goals for specific locations, keeping in mind local market trends and competitors' activities.

A retails district manager is in charge of regional budgets, and they must make sure the sales strategies they come up with are within those limits. They are expected to make sure operations run smoothly in every location under their watch and to make sure their people know how to do their job. They must create and present reports on their performance to central management

A degree in business management is required to rise to this position. Several years of experience in sales and in managerial positions will also improve career prospects.
